“I’m not sure I’m going to be able to walk tomorrow. You can give me at least two minutes of cuddling,” Soren grumbled into his neck.

Almost instantly, muscles that had tensed relaxed again. He could practically feel Angel’s smug grin, and that was just fine. He’d kept up his end of the bargain and fucked the sense right out of him. He certainly wasn’t feeling bored and restless anymore. Zero desire to break into the Louvre.

“Yeah, well, you’re sexy as hell, old man,” Angel teased.

“Ouch!” Soren shifted, propping himself up on one elbow to look at Angel’s smiling face glistening with sweat. His perfectly coifed hair was now a mess, and the sparkling lip gloss was long gone. Probably smeared all over Soren’s dick. The dark eyeliner around his eyes made them seem bigger, more alluring, but he had a feeling he’d be stunning even without the makeup. Maybe even younger than he appeared. “How old do you think I am?”

An evil expression crossed Angel’s face, and Soren glared in warning. His body was complaining enough already from the sex now that he was coming down from the adrenaline and endorphins. He didn’t need a little punk reminding him that he was too old for him.

“Seriously? Hmm…thirty-four.”

Soren snorted. “How many years did you knock off from pity?”

“Just one.”

A startled laugh jumped from him at Angel’s immediate response. “So I look thirty-five to you. That’s not bad.” Not bad at all considering he was turning thirty-seven in a few months.

“And let me guess, you think I’m eighteen? Nineteen? But not really. You really think I’m sixteen, but you don’t want your conscience to get caught up in the idea of fucking a minor,” Angel countered tartly.

Soren leaned down and captured those lips in a searing kiss, keeping them locked together until Angel relaxed and returned the kiss. When he pulled away, Angel looked…hesitant. Almost vulnerable. But the emotion was gone almost as quickly as it appeared.

“First, I wouldn’t have touched you if I thought for even a second you were under eighteen.” Soren paused and stared into Angel’s eyes, then moved on to the rest of his face. “Under the makeup, I think you might appear to be twenty-one or twenty-two. With the makeup, you look twenty-five. I guess I’ll split the difference and say twenty-four.”

The smile that spread across Angel’s face was like getting kicked in the heart. He couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think. He wanted to bask in that look of joy.

“Sexy and smart. Now I’m very glad we ran into each other again.”

Soren sighed and dropped to the mattress, resting his head half on a pillow and half on Angel’s shoulder. This was comfortable. Nice. It had been a while since he’d relaxed with someone after sex. He found he enjoyed Angel’s cockiness and sharp wit. There was so much more to the man, and he was a little disappointed that he’d never know what it was. After tonight, they’d never see each other, but at least he’d have this good memory.

“Since you’re glad to have fucked me and don’t seem to mind cuddling with me too much, maybe you can answer this important question for me.”

Angel tensed under his larger body and Soren nearly chortled in his ear when he finally asked, “What’s that?”

“If I wanted to eat my weight in cheese, can you suggest a good shop?”

Surprised giggles erupted from Angel, and Soren found himself laughing at the happy sound. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep next to Angel with a smile still on his lips.

Chapter 3

Alexei sipped his coffee and flipped through the messages on his phone. As he’d expected, Marilyn had closed out the contract on Gabor Kalman and the money was now sitting in his offshore bank account. Over the past couple of years, he’d developed quite the nest egg.

Of course, almost as soon as the money flowed into the account, Gabriel was messaging to report that nearly all of his fresh income had been divvied up across a variety of investments for future growth.

A sigh nearly escaped him. It was the responsible thing to do. It was exactly what he’d agreed to when he’d told Gabriel and Justin that he was moving out as well as branching out on his own in the “family” business. Gabriel had not been pleased, and even perpetually happy Justin had looked worried.

To prove he wasn’t planning to go on some hedonistic tear and throw his life away, he’d given his uncle access to his financial accounts with instructions for him to invest his earnings while leaving him enough to live comfortably but not stupidly.

But looking at his current bank statement, it was clear that he needed to have a talk with his uncle about what the definition of stupid was when it came to money. He could at least leave him a little money to be silly.
