I only pull back when I feel his bulge pressing into my belly. “You okay?”
His jaw is pulled tight. “I’m going to make this speech, and then I’m taking you home.”
I lift my shoulders in a shrug. “You won’t get any complaints out of me.”
He leans down to whisper in my ear, “Only because you know I can’t stand it when another man flirts with you. I’ll fuck you until you don’t think about anything except for me and how good I make you feel.”
I fan my face, feeling the scorching heat of his words. When he’s jealous, he’s insatiable. I know that I’m guaranteed at least three orgasms when I get home. I shove him away from me. “Go give your speech. Edward and Elana are glad you’re doing it. But make it fast. I’m ready to go home.”
He kisses me again, and I watch as my big, strapping mountain man makes his way to the stage. He shakes hands with his brother as he gets to the microphone. Elana comes to stand next to me and holds my hand. “Thank you,” she whispers.
“What for?” I ask her, without taking my eyes off her brother.
She leans her head on my shoulder, and we listen to Ben talk about his parents, his brother and sister, and the family business. “You gave me my brother back.”
Her words are simple but heartfelt. The change in Ben this past year has been amazing to see up close and personal. He’s happy, that much is obvious, and he spends every day of his life making sure I am too.
I squeeze her hand and tune into what Ben is saying. “And I want to thank my wife, Maggie. She planned all this and makes sure it all goes off without a hitch. She’s an amazing woman that brings out the best in all of us. I love you, Maggie.”
I wipe at a tear and smile proudly up at him. He closes his speech, and as he comes off the stage, several people try and stop him, but he’s a man on a mission. He makes his way to me and his sister. He hugs Elana and then turns to me. I know that look in his eye, and I go to him as he wraps his hand around mine. “Ready?”
He is pulling me toward the door. “With you, I’m always ready.”
Impatiently, he leans down and picks me up in his arms. I laugh and pat him on the chest. “Ben, put me down. I’m too big to be carrying.”
He strides out of the building. “You’re perfect, Maggie. And you’re mine.”
I lean my head against his chest and agree. “I’m yours.”
We may have had a rocky start, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t tell many people the story about how I was auctioned to the mountain man, but I sure am glad I was.
