“Oh, look! It’s your Daddy, Sue,” Tori pointed out the obvious.

Everyone waved at Davis, standing at the window in his athletic pants and T-shirt. He did not smile at them, but motioned someone to come to the door.

“He’s so cute, Sue. Look at all those muscles,” Ellie complimented.

“I know. He’s a beast,” Sue shared.

There was a brief pause as everyone looked at each other. Ellie could almost hear everyone’s thoughts complimenting the handsome, ultimately fit, silver fox standing at the door. Tori shook with amusement and finally a snort escaped from her control. Littles collapsed from their chairs to fall to the floor and roll around as their laughter filled the room.

“Is someone going to let Davis in?” Tarson demanded, setting off another wave of giggles and a few hand slaps to the flooring. Shaking his head, Tarson stalked to the door and opened it, allowing Davis inside.

“What happened?” Davis asked and Riley howled.

“He’s a beast!” Sue repeated and covered her mouth, trying to conceal her mirth.

“I’m glad you called,” Davis said to Tarson. “This is all because everyone had a bad day?” he asked, crossing his arms in front of him.

At the sight of his bulging biceps, Tori snorted again before scrambling to her feet and running to the bathroom.

“Do you think she’ll make it?” Riley asked.

“I’ll put five dollars on no,” Sue offered, propping herself up on her elbows on the floor.

“You’ll lose that bet,” Lark challenged. “She’s already at the door.”

Everyone turned to watch as Tori politely knocked on the ladies’ entrance and waited.

“Who do you think is in there? We’re all here,” Lark pointed out.

Saying “Oh!” Tori darted inside.

“What’s going on here?” Evan, Tori’s Daddy, asked, drawing all their attention back to the open doorway.

“We’re closed,” Riley pointed out, setting off another round of giggles.

“I think the bar is closed.” Milo’s voice came from behind Evan. Milo walked to Riley and brushed the hair from her eyes.

“Did you get a picture of the batter zombies?” Milo asked, softly.

“I did from the back. I’ll send it to you and Garrett,” Tarson promised.

“I had a terrible day,” Riley explained before gesturing around the room. “We all had really bad days.”

“Where’s Tori?” Evan asked.

“Bathroom,” the Littles said together and rolled back to their backs to howl their entertainment toward the ceiling.

Evan walked to the ladies’ room and opened the door, disappearing from view as another Daddy appeared in the doorway.

“I got a report of a disturbance—possibly a break in—here at Little Cakes. I volunteered to investigate.” Wyatt growled his disapproval.

“Daddy? Did you bring enough handcuffs for all of us? We’re so guilty,” Lark confessed, raising her hands and holding her wrists together in a practiced motion that assured Ellie that Lark and Wyatt played cops and bad Little often.

Being helpful, Ellie lifted her wrists as well. “Do me second,” she requested politely.

“Third!” Riley echoed and was soon followed by Sue and Daisy who wanted to cooperate with the law as well.

“No handcuffs,” Wyatt growled and walked over to the nearest table to pick up a disposable Little Cakes cup and sniff it.

“What is going on here?” Garrett demanded from the doorway.

Ellie was so glad to see him. Tears welled in her eyes, and she raised her arms up to him. “Daddy. I had the worst day.”

“Oh, Rainbow,” he said in concern. Sitting down on the floor, he scooped her onto his lap.

Ellie watched him sniff as he approached to kiss her. She quickly shielded her mouth with her hand. “We just had a wee bit to drink,” she confessed.

Garrett looked around the room as if trying to make sense of everything going on. Milo tilted a bottle in the air to show there was a small amount left. “Three bottles,” he reported.

“It was good,” Ellie told her Daddy.

“It’s not going to be good tomorrow. Thank goodness tomorrow is Monday, and the bakery will be closed,” he informed her before looking up at the other men. “I’m going to take my naughty Little girl home to take care of her. Then, I’m going to think of some way to punish her that will help her make better decisions on horrible days.”

Distracted by his handsome face, Ellie ignored his speech as she plucked a flower from her crown and put it behind his ear. “You’re pretty,” she complimented.

“Thank you, Rainbow. Let’s get you home,” he suggested.

She pouted.

“Up you go!” Garrett boosted Ellie to her feet before rising to stand next to her.

Ellie clung to his powerful frame and watched her friends’ Daddies taking care of their Littles. She looked over at the bathroom door to see Evan carrying Tori out of the small room. Even from here, Ellie could hear Tori’s snores.

“She fell asleep,” Ellie whispered.

“It appears that you’ve all over-imbibed,” he suggested.

“Maybe just a bit,” she agreed with him as they stood waiting for each couple to make their way to the door and disappear.
