“My family is important, but nothing is more important than your happiness. If you want to move to Glacier Pass, we’ll move here.” Clay shrugs like it’s no big deal.

“I love you,” I whisper as tears run down my cheeks.

“I love you, too, Spicy girl. It might take a little time for us to find a house and move all our stuff, but we’ll get it done before the baby comes.”

When Clay tells his cousins we plan to move to Glacier Pass, they all celebrate and jump in to help us. Morning sickness becomes my worst enemy, and I realize the next six months are going to crawl by.

I’m so excited to return to Honey Pot Hollow to visit our siblings. Honey Buns II is almost ready to open, but we pushed the opening back to extend our visit to Honey Pot Hollow. Cora and Mabel are due to give birth a few weeks apart, so we decided to kill two birds with one stone and stay in town for both births.

When we moved to Glacier Pass, we decided to keep Clay’s home in Honey Pot Hollow since we plan to visit our families frequently.

After we arrive in town, Thorne asks us to keep Angel Baby for a few days. Mabel is due any day now, and my sister and her mate want a chance to adjust to life with a newborn before they introduce their jealous Chihuahua to the newest family member.

Thorne dropped Angel Baby off this morning on his way to work, and we’ve been trying to comfort the pouting animal all day long.

“I feel bad for my little buddy.” Clay reaches over to give the spoiled Chihuahua little bites from a slice of cheese. “It’s like he knows something big is up.”

“He’s really good at giving the sad doggie eyes,” I agree as the little animal whimpers pitifully. He really has pathetic down to a science.

My phone dings a little later with a text from Mabel.

Sister 1: Baby Bearly is coming. We’re on the way to the hospital.

Me: Are you sure this isn’t another false alarm?

My sister and Thorne have had four trial runs to the hospital in the last few days, and I’m pretty sure my brother-in-law is going to have a stroke if his child doesn’t hurry up and make its appearance.

Sister 1: Definitely the real thing. This sucks.

Me: Good luck and keep us updated.

She sends me a thumbs-up emoji before I turn to explain to Clay what’s happening. “Mabel and Thorne are on their way to the hospital.”

“For real this time?” My mate smirks, causing me to roll my eyes.

“We’ll see.” We’re sitting on the sofa watching a movie with the spoiled dog when Clay’s phone rings. “Hello.” My mate quickly answers.

“Good God, you’re kidding,” Clay grumbles, causing my heart to drop as I wonder if something is wrong. “Okay.” It’s frustrating to only hear Clay’s end of the conversation.

I’m a nervous wreck by the time he hangs up. “Is everything okay?”

“Mabel and the baby are great, but Thorne and Mabel are fucking my nephew over big time.”

Relief cuts through, immediately followed by confusion. “What?”

“Did you know they planned to name the baby Theodore?” My mate shakes his head sadly.

“Bethany told me a few weeks ago.” I wince, realizing I forgot to tell him. We’ve been so busy with our trip and keeping up with things back home in Glacier Falls, the baby’s name just slipped my mind. “Sorry, I forgot to tell you.”

“I’m going to teach him to fight young because he’s going to catch hell his entire life,” Clay mutters and reaches for his phone.

Sitting back, I watch the tiny Chihuahua prance around the room unhappily while my mate calls Thorne.

“Did you really name your son Teddy? Are you trying to put a fucking target on his back?” I can’t hear Thorne’s response, but I do hear his raised voice.

“Good God,” Clay grumbles as Angel Baby throws back his head to howl his displeasure. “Your first dependent isn’t happy with the current situation.”

After listening to whatever his brother has to say, Clay hangs up the phone and growls at the Chihuahua, “Your daddy said to calm down.” To my shock, the little animal instantly stops howling and walks over to hop on the sofa.

“I can’t believe he listened to you.”

“You just need the magic touch.” Clay smiles down at me before covering my lips with his.

“I love your magic touch.” The dog decides he’s tired of being ignored and wiggles his way between us before we finish watching the movie.

I can’t believe I’m watching my handsome mate prancing around Honey Pot Hollow wearing candy-apple-red, four-inch-high heels. Before Cora and Wilder’s twin daughters were born, my husband bet his brothers that Wilder would pass out in the delivery room. When my brother-in-law managed to stay on his feet throughout the entire delivery, my mate had to man up and pay his dues.
