“I have to… get back,” I swallow. “I just wanted to… I was just… making copies.”

He nods, bewildered, as I grab the papers and leave the room.

Chapter 12

-Josh-

She kissed me! Holy fucking shit! She kissed me. A kiss more intimate than any touch we’ve had these past two or so months.

I’m fixated on the door as she leaves, my eyes blinking rapidly.

Was that real, because it feels like a dream?

I take a step back, licking my tingling lips. Kissing Luci is invigorating - the most sweet, tender, and innocent elixir that anyone can ever hope for. The dryness my open mouth is causing, mixed with my unbelievably uncomfortable hard on, tells me our kiss was most certainly very real.

I shut the door and quickly lock it before anyone spots me in my current state.

I sit back at my desk, placing my head in my hands, trying to calm down.

Holy shit, we kissed.

Baseball. Star Wars. Tomorrow’s lesson on stoichiometry.

Luci’s warm, gentle, full lips.

Fuck!

I can’t take it. I’m past the point of no return. My balls are heavy, and I can’t think straight, so much so, that I’m already undoing my pants, pre-juice already staining my boxers. I can’t help it. I whip my dick out and start jerking off immediately. I close my eyes and see her face - her eyes, her mouth, her laugh, her mouth again, our kiss.

My other hand grabs my balls and squeezes. I hear her voice and see her smile, and almost immediately, I feel the come moving up my dick. I don’t have time to grab a tissue, or anything else, before I shove my hips into the air and shoot out.

Three long ropes land on the counter as my hand hastily moves up and down. Another two bursts spew out, landing on the floor, and I’m heaving, smiling, because we kissed.

The last bell of the day vibrates in the air as loudness suddenly fills the halls. I have nothing planned after school - no extra help, no makeup tests, no practice, yet I’m waiting in my office just to see if Luci comes by. She’s never been one to have something happen and merely let it go. I fear I sort of picked up that habit from her. She’s forward, and has to talk about things, and I love her for it.

I linger for minutes that feel like hours, straightening up the papers that are messily piled. I crumple another few pieces of blank sheets, and add more tissues to the garbage to be sure my remnants from earlier are hidden well.

Eventually, the halls begin to clear and the after school quietness set in. My bag is already packed, ready to go, and I think of texting her to see if she’s even still around. It would be so unlike her not to stay.

Another few minutes, and I’m starting to believe she left. Disappointed, and confused, I shut the light and open the door to leave, almost slamming headfirst into her.

I instantly relax.

I knew she couldn’t just leave it be.

“Hey,” she laughs, backing away from our close call.

“Hi! I’m sorry!” I throw my hands up, steadying myself and apologizing for nearly knocking her down. “I thought maybe you left.”

“No,” she laughs, and is she actually blushing? “I just… I just…”

I stare at her expectantly, smiling. She’s the most adorable thing ever.

Just then, my phone lights up, and I look down, fishing it out of my pocket.

It’s Brittney, and I quickly stuff it back inside, praying Luci didn’t see.

“I just wanted to, um, say goodbye, and I hope you have a good night and weekend,” she rambles.

“Wait!” I grab her arm.

She turns around, her long hair swinging, her eyes bright. “What?”

“Go out tonight with me tonight?”

“On the eve of your date with someone else?” She makes a face. “I don’t think so.”

“Only because it’s what you wanted me to do.” I want to be mad at her for suggesting it, but I can’t hide my smile. I’m far too happy from earlier. I purse my lips and grasp the bridge of my nose. “I’m just really trying to just do the right thing here.”

“Date me tonight, go on another one with someone else tomorrow,” she sighs. “It’s all a little all too familiar.”

“You’re really sending me mixed signals here, babe,” I shake my head.

“Let’s settle this threat, or whatever you want to call it with Brittney first,” she suggests.

“Fine,” I huff. “Then we won’t go out, but how about you come over? I just want to hang out with you.”

“I don’t think me going over to your place is a good idea,” she shakes her head.

“You kissed me, Luci,” I sigh heavily.

“I’m sorry,” she apologizes.

“Don’t be,” I brush past her, leaving her motionless as I walk away.

I’m pissed off and annoyed, and I storm down the hall towards Brittney’s classroom. I need to be sure I’m doing the right thing, as I’m already literally walking on a tightrope with Luci.
