“Night, Mom.”
I finished the call, and after dressing in a pair of comfortable shorts and a T-shirt, I made myself a ham and cheese sandwich. I found I had no appetite. Eventually, I pulled the ham out, ate that, and discarded the rest. Then I grabbed a book and climbed into bed, but I couldn't concentrate. All I could think about was that kiss. Now that the shock was over, I could admit to myself that no one had ever kissed me like that before.
I remembered the firm hold of his hand at the back of my neck; the way he'd held me as if he knew I wouldn't resist...and I hadn't. I had parted my lips and allowed him to thrust his tongue inside my mouth. I wished I'd gone limp then, so I could have excused my behavior as shock; but no, I had given as good as I had gotten.
Ugh…
I tossed the book aside and slipped under the covers. The temptation to slip a hand between my legs was high, but I firmly told myself I wasn't going to masturbate to thoughts of him. No, that was just feeding blood to a vampire. I stayed awake for what seemed like hours before finally managing to drift off to sleep.
I was woken up by an erotic dream where I was fucking Mr. Frost in his car. Straddled atop him, I was in the midst of a wild ride on his dick unsure of how I got there, all I remembered was me telling him "You better make me cum like there is no tomorrow". Me, who never spoke dirty, even in my most erotic dreams.
My whole body felt hot and flushed.
I got up and headed straight to the shower. I decided I wasn't going to allow myself to think about him in that way. Why would I even want to? Yes, he was physically attractive, but his personality left a lot, really a lot, to be desired. I was usually attracted to a man’s warm and caring personality, not his physical appearance.
I didn't know when I became so messed up that all I cared about was a man's physique.
Chapter 13
Lillian
Iarrived at the office early, as I always did, except that day when I arrived two minutes and thirty-seven seconds late. I knew he had meetings across town this morning, so with any luck, I could put off meeting him until after lunch, but as soon as I entered my office space I smelled his aftershave.
His door was firmly shut though.
I walked to my desk, careful not to make too much noise. Only after I sat down did I question why I was tiptoeing. There was no putting off facing him. I was going to have to take in his coffee soon, anyway.
I powered up my computer and pretended to busy myself checking emails while my heart pounded so hard in my chest, that I could hear it. I kept glancing nervously at the time. It seemed as if time itself had speeded up and was flying. Before I knew it, it was time for me to take him his coffee. Agitatedly, I stood up and headed to the small kitchenette, telling myself that I could do this.
I had nothing to feel embarrassed about; after all, I hadn't been the instigator of that kiss. In fact, I should be angry at his behavior. I allowed anger and indignation to replace my nervousness. By the time I knocked on his door, I was furious—he had crossed a line, no matter how I reacted. I was a normal, functioning woman. My body’s reaction had been completely normal.
But my hands were trembling as I carried his coffee to him a few minutes later.
"Come in," he called.
I pushed the door open and entered. Without speaking, I set the mug on his desk. He didn’t even bother to look up. Bastard. I stared at his bent head in disbelief. Was he going to pretend last night had not happened? No, I wasn’t going to allow that. I cleared my throat and he looked up questioningly.
I met his gaze boldly. "You shouldn't have done that yesterday. Don’t do it again." That was all I wanted to say, and I turned to leave.
His sneering voice stopped me cold. "I didn’t hear you complain then."
I turned around, my mouth open in disbelief at his words, but before I could say anything, he spoke up again.
"In fact, I think you rather liked it. Judging by the way you’re dressed today, I bet you're hoping for a repeat of what happened."
Anger churned in my chest. "How dare you?" I hissed.
He stood up abruptly, and a few seconds later he was standing in front of me, so close that I could inhale his scent. "In fact, I'm thinking that right now your panties are wet, and if I dipped my hand under that tight skirt of yours, my fingers will come out wet."
