Dev thrust his hips forward again, filling Cash’s mouth with one sure push. Dev’s palm cupped his cheek. The pad of Dev’s thumb swept back and forth over his cheekbone as his hips rolled.

The tender caress had Cash closing his eyes, suctioning his lips, loving the cock sliding in and out of his mouth. One hand gripped the back of Dev’s thigh, the other palmed the sac drawing up with Dev’s desire.

A fierce pounding on the front door had Cash releasing his hold and opening his mouth as he looked in that direction.

“She can wait,” Dev hissed. The hand on his cheek exerted pressure to turn Cash back to his cock. “She’s a bitch. You’ll make dealin’ with her easier if you finish me off.”

“Goddamn it, Devilman. I saw you read my text. Open the door. Your shithole needs some fuckin’ heat out here. You’re too goddamn tight-fisted.”

Cash lifted his gaze to Dev and whispered, “She sounds sweet.”

Dev must have picked up the hidden meaning in Cash’s words—the blowjob was done—because he took a frustrated giant step over the edge of the bed, dragging his fingers through his hair as he started for the door.

“I fuckin’ hate you, Tena,” Dev yelled as he went. “I’m not givin’ you anymore…”

“Daddy, it’s me too,” a little girl called.

“Me too,” another more sedate voice of a child said.

“Shit!” The sound of Dev’s feet pounding back toward his bedroom was exactly Cash’s exit cue. He didn’t want to be here with anyone else there, especially not Dev’s family.

Dev hurriedly gathered his jeans off the floor as he yelled, “Why the fuck are the girls here and not in school?”

Cash got in gear, grabbing his shoes, pushing his feet through each one as he started out of the bedroom only to turn back and look for his shirt. He grabbed it and the drawing of Dev buried in his ass. No matter what happened going forward, last night mattered. He had a souvenir to mark the memory.

He matched the ends of the paper together, keeping it from unwanted eyes, and tossed the blanket over the other graphic drawings, hoping to shield them from the girls view. Cash started toward the door. He went through the doorway to see Tena. Of course, he’d seen her picture in Dev’s file, but he also knew her from his past. What surprised him were the two girls. Abigail favored the Fox side of the family. The other, the little one, Mae, was a spitting image of Tena when she was younger.

“Well, who do we have here?” Tena asked with all the curiosity in the world. She ushered the girls inside, blocking the doorway and making Cash’s escape impossible. He took a step back to make room. Tena, though, stepped right into his personal space, not allowing him to pass without barreling over her to get away.

“Are you Daddy’s friend? I don’t remember you,” Mae asked.

“You don’t know everyone Dad knows,” the older one replied, completely unfazed at seeing him standing in nothing more than his athletic shorts in the middle of her father’s living room.

Those were some pretty well-adjusted kids if this made sense to them.

He continued to hold all of Tena’s attention. She couldn’t be much taller than five feet but commanded the space around them. The boldness that followed everyone in Dev’s life had Tena circling Cash, eyeing him as she went. “You aren’t his normal type.”

Cash had no idea what to say to that or anything else for that matter. As she treated him like a piece of meat, it enabled him to sidestep her, and start to duck through the front door.

“Hey,” Dev called out. Cash turned his head as he crossed over the threshold. Four sets of eyes were on him. Dev grabbed his bicep, walking up on him. “I’m sorry about leavin’ you hangin’ like that. Can I have a raincheck for later?”

Heat bloomed over his cheeks. He had no idea how to answer.

Dev chuckled in his face then did something that seemed to surprise them both, he leaned in and placed a quick chaste kiss on Cash’s lips.

“Daddy kissed a boy,” Mae sang with all the love and romance of a Disney movie.

“Come on, Mae. Put your headphones on so Mom and Dad can fight. Then we can go get somethin to eat,” Abigail said, taking a seat on the sofa.

“Donuts,” Mae said, taking her headphones from her sister.

“I already called Waffle House. You can get the waffles. They’re like donuts.”

Cash didn’t say another word. As much as he wasn’t looking forward to explaining this new turn of events to Joe or David watching from across the street, he’d rather face a firing squad than stay another minute inside Dev’s home with his family.

The girls clearly had a great relationship with their father, humanizing Dev more than the fantastic night they’d shared.
