Including his?

Danté always agreed, stating, “Honey, that man can afford it, let him pay for whatever he wants. And you haven’t even made your ass clap on his dick yet. Miss Thang, your pussy’s magic!”

My and Aiden’s relationship was developing into something I’d never expected.

Friendly.

Comfortable.

Flirty…

Especially with the shit that would come out of his mouth. Again, the man knew no limits. His double innuendos and puns were always on point, only getting worse as time went on.

Making me want to laugh my ass off one minute and strangle him the next.

The kids and I continued going to the MC’s barbecues every Sunday, rain or shine, even though Skyler was now out of commission.

Her and Noah welcomed a baby girl into the world two weeks prior and were home soaking up as much time as possible with their precious bundle of joy. Or in the process of making another, knowing Noah. Baby girl Jameson was perfect at six pounds and three ounces with the cutest little button nose and the feistiest personality. Reminiscent of her cousin Harley.

Proving genes ran strong in those Jameson brothers.

Aiden never attended with us as a family. He always showed up hours later on his own. I assumed he was either mentally preparing himself or he was at the hospital doing his rounds first.

I’d often catch him openly gawking at me in my bikinis from across the patio. Finding an abundance of new bathing suits magically appearing in my dresser drawer one morning.

He’d eye me with a predatory regard, his fingers twitching to untie my bathing suit. Undressing me with his tantalizing stare.

To the point it made me wet.

For him.

And all he was doing was looking at me.

I also had the pleasure of witnessing some of the most endearing qualities about him. How I’d find his still frame sleeping in the rocking chair in Journey’s nursery. Wanting to be close to his baby girl the only way he physically could.

His back must have been killing him, passing out on that hard wood night after night. Sometimes I’d watch him on the monitor when I couldn’t sleep. He’d get up, holding his lower back. Trying to straighten up just to walk.

Without thinking, I found myself on Amazon. Two days later a very plush seat and back cushion showed up on our doorstop.

The next morning, a text woke me up bright and early instead of Journey. “How often is my body on your mind, Cami?”

I didn’t have to wonder who it was from, saving his contact under ‘Asshole’ in my cellphone. Usually, he’d call the house phone, so for him to be texting me felt like a bigger shift in our dynamic.

Although, he didn’t find his nickname saved in my phone nearly as amusing as I did. He’d called it one evening, helping me locate the damn thing in the couch cushions.

I laughed my ass off from the expression on his face. “Oh, come on… what’s my name under in your phone?”

He grinned. “Pain in my ass.”

I glared at him.

Now there I was a week later, sitting at the kitchen island while dinner was in the oven and I studied for my weekly exam in anatomy.

Jackson was at football practice and Jagger was tutoring a girl from school at the library. Journey was taking her afternoon nap, and the house was clean and quiet.

“Ugh,” I groaned, stretching my arms over my head to relieve my back tension.

Jackson, the little shit, hadn’t let up on his pranks. My butt cheeks and lower back were killing me. I think I might have pulled a muscle when I fell on my ass from his latest shenanigans.

To my surprise a fake, but very real looking tarantula was stuffed in his hamper in the laundry room the previous morning. Sending me to the tile floor, screaming bloody murder.

I hadn’t had my coffee yet, and I wasn’t prepared for his terrorist attacks. Catching me in a moment of weakness had become his go-to move to sabotage me.

I stretched my back further, looking over my notes.

“Parts of the body that are sexual are also called erogenous zones, such as, lips, ears, neck, collar bones—”

“And my personal favorite,” Aiden chimed in, walking into the kitchen. Showing up out of nowhere, he added, “The ass.”

I played it off like his comment didn’t affect me, clenching mine under the table.

“There’s only room for one ninja in this household and Jagger has already claimed that position. What are you doing here, by the way? You’re never home this early.”

Ignoring me, he questioned with a nod, “What’s up with your back?”

“Nothing.”

“Doesn’t look like nothing. It’s been bothering you since last night.”

My heart fluttered, realizing he noticed my pain.

“I’m fine.”

He set his things on the counter before sitting down in front of me. “Try again, Cami.”

I sighed, giving in. “Your pain-in-my-ass son.”

“What did he do to you this time?”
