Dessert.
Breck’s body clenched anxiously. A whisper of indecision swept through his chest. His heart pounded. Was he ready? To be totally tied up and at Kai’s mercy again? Recollections of their last encounter flooded back into his brain. It’d been amazing. Mind blowing. Incredible. But also totally insane. And yet probably the most bold and exciting thing he’d ever done. He’d loved it. Wanted to do it again. Hence the reason he’d volunteered his services—to secure a spot for another go.
Pulse rate spiking, he cleared his throat, lips quirking as he absorbed Kai’s not-so-subtle innuendo. “Yeah. Let’s do this.”
Kai led the way into his loft’s large open area. Breck rolled his shoulders, willing his body to relax. This was nothing but a repeat of Friday. And Friday was easy. He’d just had to chill in one spot and sit still. An effort that’d definitely been worth it. He could absolutely endure a bit more of the staying put. After all, how much could one rope design really differ from another?
Kai pulled out one of the woven bins from the bottom of his shelving unit. “So, tonight’s piece,” he began. “It’s going to be different.”
Breck stilled. Not like Friday? He scratched his neck. “Different how?”
“Not a floor piece. A suspension rig.” He carried the bin over to the coffee table.
Breck frowned in confusion. “You’re going to suspend me in the air?”
“Yes.” Kai turned to him. Something flickered in his gaze. “Exhibitions are always more extravagant than instructional classes.”
Apprehension settled into Breck’s gut. It must’ve also surfaced on his face, because Kai quickly shook his head and retrieved his phone. “Nothing crazy, I promise. Here,” he scrolled through his cell. “Let me show you what I’m talking about.” Pulling up a few images, he showed them to Breck. “The one I’m doing tonight will look a lot like this.”
Breck eyed the man strung up horizontally. His pulse accelerated at the thought of being that guy. How would it feel? Would it freak him out? Turn him on? And more importantly, what might Kai do to him in that state? His dick thrummed, his imagination stirring. There was only one way to find out.
Go big, Breck. Does this notion excite you?
Yes. Going by his boner, it most certainly did.
Inhaling deeply, he nodded his approval.
The look on his face must’ve conflicted with his answer, because Kai chuckled and gripped his hips. “You sure? Because, I mean, the show isn’t until Thursday, so I still have some wiggle room to find another model.”
But yeah, the thought of that only steeled Breck’s resolve.
He lifted his chin. “No, I’m good.”
Kai nodded, then started to circle him, his voice calm and relaxed. “Okay, so let’s go through the drill. No new injuries, bodily issues, or triggers since the last time we saw each other?”
“Nope.”
“Good.” Kai stopped behind him.
Breck shifted his weight, resisting the urge to glance over his shoulder.
“Since you’re still new at this”—Kai stepped in close—“I want you to practice your breathing before we begin.”
“My breathing?” Breck lifted a brow. “I’m pretty sure I’ve mastered that skill by now.”
Kai laughed, his breath wisping along Breck’s nape. “I’m sure you have, too. The typical kind, anyway. The tying style I’m using tonight though, is going to require you to breathe a little bit differently.” His hands slid around Breck’s sides and palmed his abdomen. “Into your stomach instead of your lungs.”
“Why?” Breck rasped, loving his touch.
“Because the rope harness I’ll be fashioning around your chest needs to be very secure, which will make it hard for your ribcage to expand. So… you’re going to need to be inhaling here.” His fingers casually splayed. “Expanding your abdominal cavity instead of your chest.”
Breck all but shivered at his touch. “Okay. I get you.”
“Good. So, let’s begin,” Kai murmured. “Arms by your sides... Inhale into your stomach…” Breck did as instructed, Kai’s hands still spanning his belly. “Good. Now practice that at a slow, steady pace.”
Breck swallowed and again complied. Although in fairness, his focus was only partially on his breathing. Most of it was fixated on those arms wrapped around his body.
His heart pumped faster. His skin grew heated.
A minute later, Kai dropped his hands and moved back into view. “Good.” He pointed to the center of the floor. “I’m going to start with you standing here. Dress down like last time while I get my supplies in order.”
Breck nodded, already missing Kai’s closeness, the heat of his body, as he pulled his shirt up and over his head.
With his back to Breck, Kai rummaged through his supplies. Several bundles of that hemp rope were the first to emerge. “I thought you used that other rope for exhibitions.”
“I do. But not for suspension jobs. In those cases, hemp is stronger.”
“Ah.” Breck definitely appreciated stronger rope today.
“And then, of course, I use it for private engagements. So, if I were to ever, let’s say, hogtie you up for personal enjoyment on my living room floor?” Kai slid him a frisky smirk. “I’d absolutely use jute.”
