“Goodness,” Natalie breathes. “I can’t imagine how difficult this was.”
I nod.
“Yeah, it was rough, but it got even worse. After June was born, Fiona decided that she didn’t want anything to do with either our daughter or me, and she asked for a divorce. I was dumbstruck, but it wasn’t like I didn’t see the writing on the wall either. After all, Fiona and I were basically roommates at that point. We were co-parenting, but my ex wasn’t even really into that, so she was absent a lot.”
Natalie’s gentle smile drops into a look of horror as I’m speaking.
“But what was Fiona doing?” she whispers. “How was she out of the house so much?”
I shrug.
“I don’t know and I don’t really care at this point. Maybe she was hooking up with other guys, maybe she got really into yoga or something. All I know is that our marriage was done, and it was for the better.”
Natalie nods.
“Yeah, sometimes divorce is the right ending, even if it’s painful. I’m so sorry Morgan,” she says in a soft voice. “June is the sweetest little girl I’ve ever met, and I’m sure Fiona loves her still.”
I cock my head.
“I’m sure she does too,” I say in a dry tone. “But we hardly ever hear from my ex these days. I think she’s in India, traveling and finding herself.”
Natalie looks shocked.
“Are you serious?”
I nod.
“Yeah, again the yoga thing was all-consuming those last few years we were together, so I think Fiona took off to the Himalayas to work with a particular guru. I’m not really sure. But more than anything, I never want June to know that her mother didn’t want to be with her. Whoever Fiona is now isn’t the woman that I fell in love with, and she’s definitely not the woman that I married.”
With that, I shake my head and give Natalie a small smile. “Okay, I’ve totally overwhelmed you, I can tell.”
“No, no!” she laughs, waving her hands. “It’s fine! These are serious topics, and it’s fine to air them.”
I shoot her another wry look.
“Well, how about you, honey? Since we’re baring our souls, is there anything you’d like to share?”
Natalie giggles and shakes her head.
“Well, let’s just say that there’s nothing like a divorce or that kind of trauma in my past. I’m just finishing up my senior year at Sheridan High, and I’ve been trying to save what I can for college. Tuition is expensive these days, and it’s why I started babysitting.”
I frown suddenly.
“Right, because you were recommended by my old law partner, Fred Walsh, right? He had nothing but good things to say about you, and said that you were very studious. I think he mentioned that you were getting ready to start applying to colleges?”
Natalie nods and smiles with a sigh.
“Yeah, Mr. Walsh is really sweet, and I’m grateful for the introduction because every penny counts. You know I read to him, right? Through this program at school that pairs seniors with high school seniors, and he’s a hoot. We’re working our way through Moby Dick right now.”
Her description of Fred Walsh makes me snort with laughter.
“Sweet?” I remark with a barely contained laugh. “Watch out, because Fred Walsh is devious and smart. The old guy is as clever as a fox, not to mention as crazy as a fox sometimes.”
Natalie giggles in disbelief at my characterization.
“Really? But he can’t be that bad seeing that he introduced us, right? So we should thank him for that.”
I nod and stand, stretching, before going to Natalie and pulling her up for an embrace.
“We certainly should,” I agree. “In fact, I should buy the old geezer a fruit basket to thank him,” I murmur against her lips. She giggles as I pull her into a kiss, but soon she’s moaning and sighing as I stroke her lush curves. After all, we’ve worked through some serious topics over the course of one evening, but I don’t want our time together to be all work and no play. Within minutes, I have the curvy girl nude and panting in my bed as I ravish her over and over again until we’re both crying out with pleasure.

Natalie
It’s been three months since I started seeing Morgan, and our time together has been utterly blissful. I go over to “babysit” June, but these days, Morgan is home more often than not. We do a lot of family things together like dinner and games, and then we put the little girl to bed before adult playtime starts. It’s heavenly, and I’ve never felt so feminine or so used before (in a good way, of course).
But it’s nice because it feels like we have our own little family. Morgan treats me like a queen, and his daughter and I get along really well. I love spending time with them, and it’s sweet to see how much Morgan adores June. Hell, the little girl has her daddy wrapped around her finger, and it makes me giggle to see Morgan practically standing on his head to please his daughter.
