My stomach growls as his scent swirls around me. He smells way too good, like amber, leather, and ink. It's an irresistible combination—one that's uniquely him.
"Kiss me, princess."
"Coby, we're at work."
"I'm aware. Kiss me."
I scowl daggers at him and quickly lean forward to press my lips to his cheek. He turns his head at the last second, ensuring my lips land against his instead. His tongue flicks out, licking along my bottom lip.
I know I should resist instead of giving him what he wants, but I'm weak for him. So freaking weak. I open for him willingly. Eagerly. He groans, licking into my mouth to steal my freaking soul.
Or maybe I hand it over. I don't know. I don't think it matters. The end result is the same. He drags me into his arms, and reality spirals away. I forget that we're supposed to be hiding. I forget that we're not the only two people in the world. I forget everything but him and the way I feel when I'm in his arms.
"Goddamn," he growls, one hand sliding down my body. He plunges it beneath my skirt, gripping my pussy. "I've been thinking about this sweet little thing all fucking day, princess. I want another taste."
"You c-can't."
"No?" He smirks, the devil in his eyes. "Who's going to stop me, Elodie?"
I watch, my heart in my throat, as he sinks to his knees right there. He doesn't say a word as he hooks my leg over his shoulder, placing a sweet little kiss to my inner thigh. He dips his head beneath my skirt, tugging my panties to the side.
My eyes threaten to roll back in my head as he licks up my slit, taking a taste of me. His tongue ring glides around my clit, driving me crazy.
"Mmm," he groans, licking me again before he carefully puts my panties back in place and then presses his lips to them. "Fucking delicious."
I whimper as he slides out from beneath my skirt, his lips still wet from my juices. He slowly lowers my leg to the floor, but he doesn't get up. He stays on his knees at my feet, staring up at me, his blue eyes dark and needy. I get lost in his eyes and the desire burning in them.
How did I never notice it there before now? He looks at me like he's going to snap if he isn't allowed to touch me immediately. Like…like he's crazy about me.
"Coby, I…"
"Do you have any idea how beautiful you are, princess?" he asks. "I look at you and forget how to fucking breathe."
"Coby," I whisper, my heart fluttering wildly.
"On my knees at your feet is exactly where I belong, Elodie."
"No, it isn't." I shake my head. "You belong on your feet at my side."
"Nah. This is the spot for me." He grabs my hand, bringing it to his lips. His eyes never deviate from mine as he brushes kisses across my knuckles. "I could die happy right here."
"Coby," I groan. He's killing me slowly. Does he even know it?
"I'll have Elodie get you some of the shit we recommend," Keegan says from down the hall. "Try not to let the ink dry out for the first couple of weeks to ensure the colors keep as much pigmentation as possible."
I jump, but Coby doesn't move. He stays right where he is, his eyes still locked on mine, my hand still at his lips.
"Coby," I hiss.
"Tonight," he growls against my skin.
I quickly bob my head in a nod.
He reluctantly releases me, climbing to his feet just as Keegan and his client round the corner. Keegan shoots him an odd look, but he grabs something from the display case as if that's what he was doing on the floor in the first place.
"Let me know when Colter gets here," he says, giving Keegan's client a nod.
"Okay," I whisper, proud when my voice doesn't shake.
"Hey," Keegan says fifteen minutes later, placing his hand on my arm as I move past him to add more tattoo soap to the cabinet. "Is everything okay with you and Coby?"
Crap. My brother may be oblivious most of the time, but he isn't an idiot. Coby is playing with fire. So why do I get the feeling that's exactly what he intended to do today? I don't think he cares if we get caught. Actually, that's not true. I think he wants us to get caught.
Surely, he's not that crazy, is he?
Yes. Yes, he is absolutely that crazy.
"Yes," I lie. "Why?"
"You looked worried when earlier," Keegan says, scrutinizing my expression. "I just wanted to make sure everything is good between the two of you. If he's giving you problems…"
"You worry too much, Keegan." I roll my eyes, trying to play it off as nothing. I'm going to strangle Coby, though. "I'm not worried about Coby, and he isn't giving me a problem."
