“Do you feel better now, baby?” he growled softly. “Now that you came for me?”

“Yes, Sir,” Phoebe murmured. “But I’d feel even better if you’d hold me,” she added boldly. The Sparkler in her system seemed to give her courage she’d never had before. She never would have dared to ask her mentor to hold her—or to make her come, for that matter—without it.

His eyes softened.

“Of course I’ll hold you, baby. Let me put on my sleep trousers and we’ll go to bed together.”

“No!” Phoebe exclaimed. “I want to be naked with you. I want to feel your muscles rubbing against me—all of them!” she added.

Wow, she really was doing and saying things she never would if she wasn’t high. Wait—was she high? It was hard to say—she still had the same floaty, euphoric feeling she’d gotten the time she ate an edible in college and it seemed to come with a great deal of confidence. She had a vague idea she might regret what she was doing and saying later, but for now she didn’t give a damn.

Sirex frowned.

“Are you sure that’s safe? We need to be careful we don’t do anything you’re going to regret in the morning.”

“No regrets!” Phoebe said firmly and then giggled. “Seriously, I promise I’ll be good. I won’t try to climb on top of you and mount you so that your big, thick cock slides inside me or anything like that.”

He gave her another stern look.

“See, just the fact that you said that makes me wonder if you’re planning to do it.”

“Oh no, Sir!” Phoebe opened her eyes wide and gave him her most innocent look. “I’ll be a good girl—I promise!”

“Well…just in case, I think I’d better keep your hands behind your back. At least for now.”

Sirex turned off the lights and then came back to bed. He slid Phoebe under the covers, handling her as though she weighed no more than a pillow, and then climbed naked into bed beside her and pulled her close to him.

“Mmmm.” Phoebe wiggled against him, pressing her bare breasts against his broad chest and snuggling up to the big Kindred as much as she could with her arms behind her back. She pressed her face to his throat and inhaled deeply. “You smell so good, Sir. I love your scent.”

“Love the way you smell too, baby,” he growled softly, stroking her hair. “Gods, I can’t believe we’re doing this.”

“We’re just snuggling,” Phoebe pointed out. “Though we can do more if you want to,” she added, looking up to give him a naughty smile.

Sirex gave her a sharp slap on the ass.

“All right—enough of that. I thought you were going to be a good girl?”

“I’m sorry, Sir.” Phoebe gave him a remorseful look, though her stinging ass had somehow translated into a wet pussy once again. “I’ll be good now,” she added. “Please, could you unlock my hands so I can hug you?”

In the half-gloom of the darkened room, she saw his eyes soften.

“All right, baby—as long as you promise to be a good girl.”

“I will,” Phoebe vowed. And added, “Thank you, Sir,” when he reached around her and unhooked the non-con bracelets.

As soon as her arms were free, she put them around his middle and melted against his side. With a contented sigh, she closed her eyes as he pulled her close.

“Gods, baby—I love the feeling of you against me,” she heard him rumble as her eyes closed.

“I love the feeling of you against me too,” Phoebe assured him sleepily. “Thank you for licking me and making me come, Sir.”

“Mmm, I just hope you won’t hate me for it tomorrow,” he remarked.

“Never,” Phoebe promised. “I could never hate you for anything—I love you.”

“What?” In the darkness, she saw his glowing red eyes widen in surprise. “What did you say?”

“I said I love you,” Phoebe admitted recklessly. A little voice inside her head was screaming that she needed to stop—that she was going way too far. But somehow she couldn’t shut her mouth off. “I think I’ve loved you from the first minute I met you—when you ordered me to drop and give you fifty,” she went on. “Or at least I had a massive crush on you. You were so stern—so dominant. You’re just like the male main characters in the romance books I read.”

“You read books about males like me?” he asked, still looking at her with uncertainty in his eyes.

“Oh, yes,” Phoebe said. “Mostly about men who like to dominate women and women who want to let them,” she explained. “I’ve always dreamed about being dominated but I never found a human man I wanted to submit to. And then you came into my life and you’re such a natural Dom. How could I help falling in love?”

“My dominance isn’t necessarily a good trait,” he said darkly. “It comes from my Scourge half, you know. It’s not a good thing to want to tie females up and tease and torture them sexually—at least the Kindred don’t think so.”
