Even through his shirt, I can see his muscular body flexing with every move. I’m so close already and I almost want to fight it to make this last as long as possible.

Banging on the door startles us both, but my eyes widen when I hear Brock’s voice. “Callum, you busy?”

“Don’t you stop moving.” Callum whispers with a slap on my ass. I look at the door and back at him, trying not to let his brother at the door pull me out of this trance. “Hey, focus on me. On us.” I nod slightly and start moving again. “Oh fuck, that’s it, don’t you fucking stop.”

“Cal, seriously!” Brock shouts, pounding on the door.

“Go the fuck away! I’ll be out in a minute,” Callum shouts, never taking his eyes off me.

Brock chuckles on the other side of the door and I try my hardest to block it out. To stay in this moment with Callum.

“A little afternoon delight, huh?” Brock says, laughing.

“You have two seconds to run before I open the door and greet you with my foot in your fucking ass!” Callum yells.

Brock's laughter quiets and I know he’s left.

It should kill the moment, but if I’m honest it only makes it that much more exciting. I move faster, getting right back into the moment. My body is beginning to tingle and I know my release is quickly coming.

I toss my head back and scrap my nails down his arms. “I’m so close,” I cry out.

“Fuck, baby, me too. You feel so good, so fucking perfect.”

He moves a hand between us and rubs my clit. I scream out, unable to contain the feeling he is causing. He places his hand over my mouth, quieting me for anyone else to hear.

“That’s it, give me your release,” he demands, rubbing my clit faster.

“Oh God, yes,” I moan against his palm.

He pinches my clit and I explode. My orgasm crashes over me, causing me to sink my teeth into the flesh of his hand.

We continue for a few moments more before my name is falling off his lips. “Violet, fuck,” he groans, stilling as his release rips through him.

We’re both breathing heavily but it doesn’t stop him from crashing his lips to mine in a kiss that sears my lips. A moan slips from me and Callum swallows it down like it belongs to him and I guess it does.

I belong to him and it has nothing to do with this marriage and everything to do with falling in love with him.

Callum breaks the kiss and rests his forehead against mine. His eyes search mine as he wraps his arms around me, holding me closer. “Violet Atwood, I love you.”

My heart pounds in my chest as emotions I’ve never felt surface. “I love you too, Callum Atwood.”

We hold onto each other like a lifeline, both of us trying to process the fact that this marriage of convenience has turned into something so real and so true.

At least that’s what I’m thinking.

“I’ve never said those words to anyone before. It’s never been easy for me to connect with someone, but with you it’s effortless. It’s undeniable. I need you as much as I want you and it should scare the fuck out of me, but it doesn’t. It makes me happy,” he whispers against my lips.

I lift my head and press a soft kiss to his cheek. “Marrying you is the best decision I’ve ever made. I never believed in soul mates or fate but I think I do now. I think it was fate that you found me that day in the barn because we were meant to be together.”

He smiles, that smile that takes my breath away. “I couldn’t agree more.” He slaps my ass playfully and raises an eyebrow. “I think you might’ve broke skin when you bit me.”

“Oh my God, I’m so sorry, let me see,” I rush out, holding his hand up.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s very sexy.”

“Callum, sorry to bother you, but Brock said I need to come get you,” Anya says through the door.

“I’m gonna fucking kill them,” he says, shaking his head. “Be right out.”

I climb off him and we both quickly get ourselves put back together.

I can’t take my eyes off him as he stands up, looking every bit the strong, confident man I’ve fallen for. The realization sinks in, warm and dizzying—I love this man, my husband. I wasn’t expecting it, but somehow, it feels like the most natural thing in the world. We just said “I love you” to each other, words that seemed to hang in the air, filling every corner of the room and settling into my bones. My mind is racing, trying to catch up with the overwhelming rush of my heart.

It’s like we’re in this perfect bubble, suspended in time, just the two of us and those three words echoing between us. His hand lingers on my cheek, and I can feel the gentle warmth of his thumb brushing against my skin, grounding me in this moment. I want to stay here, in this bubble with him forever, just basking in the glow of everything we just shared.
