Our lovemaking is usually so frantic, but right now I just want to sink inside her—sink inside her and make love to her slowly.

Show her my love rather than my ache and my need.

I pull her into my arms so that we’re facing each other side to side. Then I slide her thigh over my hips, position myself at her entrance, and glide inside.

She melts against me, glides with me, as I pull out and thrust back in.

We move together, and we become perfect harmony, just gazing into each other’s eyes, as I slide in and out of her.

The feeling is so intense, as if my whole body is inside her, being loved by her sweetness and sexiness. As if I’m held by her heart as well as her body.

We continue to make love slowly, whispering sweet nothings to each other.

I love you, Brianna.

I love you, Jesse.

You’re everything to me.

You’re all I ever wanted.

We’re surrounded in a cloud—a cloud of love and lust and pleasure and passion. Of completion.

We stay that way for moments, timeless moments, as I slide in and out of her body, as she gives herself to me and I to her.

And then, when I feel the contractions of her pussy, her quick intake of breath, signaling her climax—

I slide inside harshly, releasing. Releasing everything into Brianna. Everything I am and will be, I give to this woman.

And I know…

I know that whether this works out for the long term or not…

I will never love this way again.

When I wake up, the lights are still on. Brianna is still facing me, her eyes closed. My dick has gone flaccid and has slid out of her, but the perfection of the moment isn’t lost. I gently lay her down on her back, and then I check the time.

The middle of the night. Two a.m.

Brianna was supposed to go back to her room.

I don’t want to disturb her, so I place her under the covers and kiss her forehead. Then I slide my jeans back on to go check on Maddie.

I find Brianna’s purse and grab her key card. That way I don’t have to wake Maddie up by knocking. I take both my key card and Brianna’s and leave my room, walking the few doors to hers.

For a moment I stand there.

Do I want to do this? Do I want to check up on my little sister?

What if I find David Simpson in there? What will I do?

“Fuck it,” I say, sliding the key above the reader and then opening the door softly.

I walk in as quietly as I can, and then I sigh in relief.

My sister lies asleep, alone, in her bed.

I walk back, ready to leave, when—

“Who’s there?”

I turn. Maddie is sitting up in bed, squinting her eyes.

“It’s just me, Mads.”

“Jesse?”

“Yeah. Sorry to wake you. I just wanted to check up on you and make sure you’re okay because Brianna and I fell asleep. She meant to come back here.”

Maddie looks around nervously, darting her gaze back and forth.

“Oh. That’s sweet of you, Jesse, but as you can see, I’m just fine. Go back to Brianna. Enjoy your time together.”

I nod. “Okay.”

I turn, but then I notice something strange.

A sliver of light under the bathroom door that I didn’t see before.

My heart drops into my gut as the door opens.

“Oh my fucking God,” I say, averting my eyes.

David Simpson, naked as a damned baby.

My body tenses, and I feel like a bucket of freezing cold water has been drenched over my head.

I thought I was prepared for this.

But when I saw Maddie alone, I let my guard down.

“Shit.” Dave returns to the bathroom and comes out a few seconds later with one of the white plush ropes wrapped around himself.

“What the hell are you doing here, Pike?”

“Checking on my sister, thank you very much.”

“After you got done fucking my cousin?” Dave says.

With everything in me, I want to pummel him into next week. I could do it to that pretty boy.

I draw in a breath, hold it a few seconds, exhale.

Fuck. Didn’t help.

“Jesse—” Maddie begins.

“Shut up,” I say to her, and then I turn to Dave. “Just so I don’t have to say it again, you shut up too.”

He chuckles, shaking his head. “You’ve got some nerve.”

“Did you not hear me? I said shut up.”

Dave crosses his arms, looking like a diva in that robe. “And in what world do I have to answer to you?”

“In the world where you’re fucking my sister, you jackass.”

“Right. That same world where you just fucked my cousin.”

“She’s not your sister,” I say through gritted teeth.

“What if she were? What if it was Angie or Sage instead of Brianna? You think that makes one bit of difference to me?”

“I don’t care. We’re not having this conversation.” I motion to Maddie. “Get dressed. You’ll stay with Brianna and me tonight.”
