His mystery is a part of what makes him so intriguing. In our short time together I’ve learned that he’s a man of very few words but his body communicates a lot more than he realizes.

For example, this morning while I was doing the dishes, I felt his eyes all over my ass. Oh yeah, without looking I knew that his eyes were glued to my curves, running up and down deliciously, and then up and down again. I put in a special wiggle, a teasing sway, but the alpha remained silent.

To be honest, I’d wanted to do more than wiggle and tease, I wanted to feel him. I wanted to rub up against him and trail my breasts against his chest like a horny kitty cat. But there’s no way I was going to let him know. As if he needed another thing to add to the growing list of ways I was weak and helpless in his presence.

Besides, let him stew. I was being held captive for all the wrong reasons, and the hardheaded man just wouldn’t listen. It’d be so easy to call Ann-Marie or Chance to get this mess straightened out, and yet he refused. Robert had to have his way, so serve him right.

After cleaning the kitchen, the bookshelf in the living room called my name. Nose buried in the pages, I’d devoured about half of a book before deciding to make lunch.

Finding something to cook was easy enough thanks to the well-stocked kitchen. Everything I could possibly need to create unique meals for a full month was right there. Robert had obviously been planning this trip for quite some time, but I bet he’d planned on being alone. I was nothing more than a nuisance along for the ride.

To be honest, I’d only decided to cook with hopes of luring Robert out of his cave. And I thanked Granny again and again, because it worked. She’d told me that the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach, and in Robert’s case, that was definitely right because he’d shown up scowling and ravenous, but still devastatingly sexy, black haired mussed.

Brooding or not, the alpha’s still the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on with that massive chest and thick, tree-trunk legs. Much hotter than anyone I’ve ever seen, a thousand times better than the male accountants I work with. Those guys are pasty and thin, limp like a noodle, whereas my kidnapper’s deep bronzed, hard and muscled like a pro athlete.

And as soon as he entered the kitchen, the air sizzled with that potent masculine energy.

My body is so aware of him that it’s scary. Even before he rounded the corner, my pussy sensed him, throbbing in anticipation. Breasts aching, my nipples poked stiffly, and I thanked god for the apron because the sweater I had on hid nothing.

And now, even in memory, my cunt tingles foolishly wanting what it can’t have. Down girl, I scold angrily. Down girl, you don’t need your captor’s dick inside, buried deep. You’ll only regret it.

For the life of me, I still don’t know why I’m attracted to the man. He’s godawful good-looking, yes. But he’s also a fucking asshole who thinks it’s okay to kidnap a girl to solve his problems.

I’m so damn conflicted, the urge to scream isn’t far beneath the surface. Holding it in is the only option. Because the moment I crack, there’s no telling what might happen. I only hope that Robert’s nowhere near because I might jump him, I might beg him to take me, to claim me in every way.

So following his disappearance after lunch, I quickly cleaned up and went exploring around the rest of the house. The place is just as extravagant as I suspected. Sure, it’s technically a cabin, but each and every corner of the home has beautiful furnishings, including hand-woven rugs and intricate tapestries on the walls. It reminds me of a lavish winter retreat. Simply spectacular.

And burying myself in a book, I lost myself in a story. But by five o’clock, my stomach was protesting in hunger so I returned to the kitchen to whip up something quick.

Using fresh vegetables in the refrigerator, I roasted them along with some potatoes from the pantry. While that was in the oven, steaks cooked on the stove. If I could just lure Robert out for another meal, it’d make for some much-needed human interaction, but he never showed.

Disappointed, I ate a little of it myself before storing the rest in the fridge. Cleaning had proven to be very therapeutic as I restored order and cleanliness. When I put the broom back in its proper place, a shelf containing several very expensive wine bottles caught my eye.

Not daring to touch them, I only admired the names on the bottles and concluded that my captor must be richer than I originally thought. Each bottle had to retail for at least two thousand dollars. Impressed, I retreated to my room to think.
