“Husband,” she moans, and I swear I almost come right then and there.
“Wife,” I growl as I slam into her over and over.
“We’re having sex in church,” she says, kissing me.
“So what? We’re married now, anything we do is right in the eyes of God.” I know I’ve heard that somewhere before…
“Okay,” she giggles.
It doesn’t take long before I come, filling my wife, my sjelevenn for the first of many times.
Thank fuck she’s mine now, but like I said, no was never really an option.
EPILOGUE
SUMMER
ONE YEAR LATER
“Oh, God,” I scream only to have Balder clamp his hand down on my mouth. He’s been fucking me on and off for three hours now, but I get it. This is the first time we’ve been able to have sex in six long ass weeks. Our son, Calder, was born seven weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier.
“Hush, sjelevenn, don’t wake our boy.” He’s right, it’ll take forever for him to go back to sleep. I’m surprised he’s been asleep this long to be honest. He’s always hungry, speaking of, my tits are leaking like crazy, but Balder gobbles it up and it’s so fucking sexy. Everything he does is sexy, but this is too much.
“Harder,” I whisper when he lets go of my mouth.”
He doesn’t say anything else, just fucks me harder and harder until my pussy clenches around him.
“Good girl,” he growls as he empties inside of me. It’s like he’s racing to get me knocked up again on the first day we can. Who am I kidding? He probably is.
As soon as he’s done, Calder starts crying. I can hear him on the baby monitor. Balder pulls out of me and throws his robe on. I scoot up on the bed as he leaves the room. Seconds later, I can hear him in the nursery, talking to our son while he changes his diaper.
“You’re going to be the best of us, Calder. I can feel it, my boy. You’re going to big and strong and make your mama and me proud.” My heart is so full of love for that man and our son, it could burst. I’ve been on maternity leave for six weeks now. I thought I’d miss work more and I’m sure I will as time wears on, but I’m enjoying my bonding time with Calder. I don’t go back for two more months. I wonder if I’ll be able to leave him in daycare. Ingrid offered to babysit, but I think that’s a lot of work for everyday life. She’s just recently retired, and I want her to enjoy herself. She’s become a mother to me, and I never thought that would happen.
Meeting Balder changed my whole life. It changed me. I no longer see myself as a broken little girl who is starved for love and attention. Summer Frost is no one more, in her place is Summer Jorgensen, wife, mother, sister and daughter in law. I have a career I love, a man who loves me and I love in return. We’ve started our family, wanting as many more babies as God will give us. I want for nothing, need nothing. I know how blessed I am, and I’ll never take it for granted.
Soon enough, Balder brings Calder into the room. My womb jumps every time I see him holding our son. He’s such a good father. I knew he would be though. He’s a good man and a perfect husband.
We are building a future —a life together that is going to be amazing. Tomorrow, all of my friends, their husbands, and children are arriving for a week-long vacation that we’ve decided to have every year. Between Hope, Jinny, Scarlett, Cheryl, Rose, Sassy, and I we’ll have a plethora of excellent vacation ideas. We’ve worked out a schedule for alternating years. It’s going to be epic.
We all got our happily ever after’s because love was in the air.
EPILOGUE
BALDER
TWENTY YEARS LATER
“Are you ready, sjelevenn?” I ask as I pace at the bottom of the stairs. Ødger and his wife are hosting yet another charity function. This time for the adoption charity they run together. We’re always late to these things. I move into the living room and see five of our six kids sprawled out on the furniture watching an old superhero movie. Calder is away at college, Harvard no less. Garth, Stian, Stig, Torsen, Tyra, our only girl, all still live at home, with Tyra being the youngest at thirteen.
“I’m ready,” Summer finally hollers as she comes into the living room.
“You look so pretty, Mama. When can I go to Uncle Ødger’s parties?” Tyra asks.
“Thank you and next year, sweetling. I promise.”
The boys don’t have any interest in going but Tyra always wants to dress up and go with us.
“Be good. Garth is in charge. I ordered pizza. It’ll be here in thirty minutes.”
