“Then does that make you my God?” I tease back. He smirks giving me his smoldering glance and my pussy is once again soaked. Trying to calm my burning body I turn to look at the window and notice we are going in the usual direction.

“Babe, where are we going?” I recognize the street, but I have no idea why we are going this way.

“Do you trust me?” I look at him like he is crazy with that question. Doesn’t he know I trust him with my life? Every time he has been inside of me it has been without protection. Hell, I could be carrying his baby right now. There is no greater trust than that.

“You know I do, more than anyone.”

“Good because I love you so fucking much, baby.” I can hear my heart beating in my ears like a million drums threatening to explode. “I know it's early and we haven’t been together long, but I knew the moment I looked into your eyes at the coffee shop. I knew you were my soulmate.” Oh my God. Oh my God. He puts the truck in park and turns in the seat to look at me. “I knew deep down from the bottom of my heart that the day I dropped you off, I had a real estate agent start looking for our house.” Holy shit. He gets out of the truck, walks around to my side and helps me out. Pulling me into his arms, he kisses me before pulling me behind him.

Finally looking up I see the most beautiful home. Then what he is saying finally hits me. “Boone!” I gasp with my hand coming to my mouth. “It’s perfect,” I tell him, streaks of happiness falling down my face.

“I’m glad you like it because this is where I want us to have a family and fill it with love.” he drops to his knees and pulls a box from his pocket. “July my love, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?” Like a crazy teenager I scream and jump up and down before pulling him from the floor so I can jump into his arms.

“YES! A thousand times yes. I love you, Boone. I love you for showing me I was worthy of real love and laughter. Yes, I will marry you.”

God, I thought he’d never ask.

CHAPTER 12

BOONE

Now that she’s said yes to being my wife, I need this to happen immediately. As this is Hollow’s Hollow, marriage licenses are able to obtained same day, even Sundays. I proposed yesterday, but I already can’t wait any longer. Hopefully she doesn’t want a lavish wedding.

“Have you given any thought to the wedding?” I ask over dinner.

“No. I know I don’t want anything crazy. I understand your family may need to throw a big party or reception, but as long as it’s separate from our wedding, I’m fine with that.” God, I love her.

“Let’s get married tonight.”

“Tonight? Like go to Vegas?”

“No. We can get married here in Hollow’s Hollow.”

“How can we do that?”

“Have you heard about Hollow’s Hollow love stories?”

“The mail order brides?”

“Yes. Them, because of that, Hollow’s Hollow issues marriages licenses anytime day or night.”

“That’s pretty cool.”

“So tonight?”

“Yes, Boone Blackstone, I’ll marry you tonight.”

I walk hand in hand down the street with her to the municipal building. Lloyd, the town mayor, wishes us luck as he issues the license to us.

Despite it being almost nine at night, we head to the church, with Golden and Piers in tow as our witnesses.

Alton, the pastor, grins at us as we stand in front of him. His wife, Lavinia, plays the piano as July walks towards me.

“Sorry it’s so late,” I tell him.

“No problem, really. You’d be surprised just how many ceremonies I perform in my pajamas,” he says jovially. Lavinia stops playing as soon as July reaches me.

“You look beautiful,” I tell her.

“Thank you.”

“Are we ready to begin?” Alton asks and I nod. “Excellent. We are gathered here tonight to join Boone and July in holy matrimony. Since it’s late, you said you didn’t want anything fancy, you just want to be married, so here we go. Boone, repeat after me. July, I promise to cherish you always, to honor, and keep you, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you all the days of my life.”

“July, I promise to cherish you always, to honor, and keep you, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you all the days of my life.”

“Now, July?”

“Boone, I promise to cherish you always, to honor, and keep you, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you all the days of my life.” We exchange rings and the weight of the platinum band around my finger is perfect. It ties us together forever.
