Deke had waited while his Little girl had showered and put her nightie on, and then he’d tucked her into her bed, trying hard to ignore the fact that he could easily see the soft swell of her breasts through the thin white material of her nightgown. He hadn’t missed the pucker of her nipples either.

When he’d leaned over to kiss her, he’d inhaled her sweet scent and had to work hard to keep the kiss short. With his cock harder than ever, he’d turned off her lights and let himself out of her apartment.

He prayed he wouldn’t have to spend many more nights without her by his side in his bed. Already, it was excruciating. Somehow Deke had lived alone for all these years without being bothered by the solitude, but now that he’d met his Little girl, his home seemed too quiet and empty without her in it.

She hadn’t even been to his house a single time yet, and he felt her absence. He wanted her laughter to fill the space. He wanted to see her wide, curious gaze as she took in the nursery he’d been working on for several days.

Maya was panting as she opened the door. “You’re early,” she declared.

Deke had stopped breathing. His Little girl was not dressed. She had a towel wrapped around her, and she was holding it together. Her hair was a mess from sleeping, too. She hadn’t run a brush through it yet.

Deke gave her a slow smile as he stepped into her apartment. “I’m only ten minutes early.” He shut the door, cupped her face, and kissed her. He couldn’t resist. He loved that she was frazzled and obviously running behind. It was adorable.

She held on to the towel with a death grip as she rose onto her toes to let him deepen the kiss. When she finally broke free, she stumbled backward and would have fallen on her bottom if he hadn’t reached out to grasp her biceps.

She had on a bra, because the straps were showing. He assumed she probably had on panties, too.

“Ten minutes? Eeek. I didn’t realize I was that late. I had plenty of time to get ready, but…” She bit her lip and looked down.

He stepped closer. “But what, Precious Girl?”

“I couldn’t figure out what to wear, so I think I’ve been standing in front of my closet for a while.”

“Would you like Daddy to help? We’re not going to the opera, Little one. Just a day at the park. A picnic. Remember? It’s nice outside. You could wear a T-shirt and some jeans.”

She gasped, eyes wide. “My mother would have a heart attack if I wore a T-shirt on a date.”

He smiled. “Precious, your mother isn’t going to know. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.” He took her hand—the one not clutching the towel—and led her into the bedroom.

The closet was standing open, and he aimed for that direction. When he stopped, he was surprised to find that his Little girl had quite a selection of Little clothes. In fact, her closet was divided. On the right were jeans and khakis lined up next to work shirts with the La Havana logo on them.

On the left were dresses and shirts in Little patterns and colors. Leggings hung behind them. Most of the clothes were things she could easily wear without anyone realizing she had an inner Little.

Deke’s attention was drawn to a pair of leopard-print leggings in shades of brown. He grabbed that hanger before thumbing through the shirts and finding one that matched. It was white with what he now realized was a lion on front—not a leopard. He should have figured that out.

She was staring at him as he turned around. “That’s my not-fit-for-public side of the closet,” she informed him.

He chuckled. “Precious Girl, it would seem you only have a work side and an at-home side.”

She rolled her eyes. “See? That’s why I was having trouble figuring out what to wear. I’ve never been on an actual date and had to face this dilemma.”

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wearing most of these clothes out of your apartment. Lots of women have cute shirts and pants that make them feel comfortable.”

She lowered her gaze to the shirt. “You want me to wear a lion shirt to the park?”

“Why not? Do you like this outfit?”

“It’s my favorite. I’ve never worn it out of the apartment, though.”

“Well, I don’t see any reason why not. I think it’s cute, and I also think you should wear whatever makes you comfortable. Lions and tigers make you happy.”

“You won’t be embarrassed?” she asked.

“Never, Precious Girl. I want you to be yourself. That’s all I ask. I will never be embarrassed, no matter what you wear.”

She hesitated. “Okay.”

“Can I help you dress?” He headed for her bed, which was perfectly made, and sat on the edge before removing the shirt and pants from their hangers.
