But it doesn’t matter. C&C’s business is booming, and it’s doing so well that in fact, we just bought a new house. It’s a modest, four-bedroom ranch that’s painted pastel yellow, with plenty of backyard space for the baby and a peach tree that bears fruit. We’ve already converted one of the rooms into a nursery, and the guys are putting up a swing set for when our son or daughter is able to stand and run on their own.
But today, we’re enjoying family time together. Chris and Chase got up early this morning to run errands, so I’m all alone in our huge bed. Oof, I’m sore too because my boyfriends loved me well last night, and they’re really turned on by my pregnant body too. They say I have even more to share, although I say our baby is going to be traumatized from getting nudged on the head by their huge poles.
But after throwing on a loose sundress, I make my way down to the kitchen, ready for some breakfast. Again, my appetite is of monstrous proportions these days, and I feel like I can eat two breakfasts, two lunches, and three dinners each day. But to my surprise, when I step into the hallway, Chris and Chase are waiting. Even more, they’re both on one knee at the foot of the stairs, their handsome faces filled with expectation.
“What’s this?” I chirp, still holding the banister. “Did I do something special?”
My men share a glance and nod.
“Patty, you’ve filled our lives with so much joy, love, and laughter,” Chris growls.
“You’ve made us the happiest men in the world,” Chase adds with emotion in his voice, “and we want to make our family official. Will you marry us?”
Predictably, I burst into tears. I’m crying so hard that all I can do is nod. I can’t even make it down the stairs, but it doesn’t matter because my fiancés come to me. They pop open the box, and then slide the largest diamond I’ve ever seen onto my finger as I gasp and stare. The gem is at least as big as my thumbnail, and it glitters like a star when the sunlight strikes it just right.
“Don’t cry sweet girl,” Chris rasps, pulling me into his arms. “You’ve made us so happy that we’re the ones who are thanking you.”
“You’re glowing,” Chase intones with awe. “Sweetheart, you’re giving us a baby, and we’re over the moon to be daddies. Thank you, Patty.”
I smile with pleasure through my blurred vision and swipe at my cheeks.
“I hope everyone gets to know the kind of happiness that we share,” is my tiny voice. “If only they could experience how awesome a menage is.”
Chris laughs then.
“I know, right? But actually, I think we’ve been influential because guess who’s been asking about our lifestyle?”
I tilt my head, still sniffling a bit.
“Who?”
“Cameron, my brother,” Chase says dryly. “You know, the asshole with no sense of humor.”
“Cameron Hanssen? The billionaire?” I ask, stunned. “I thought he didn’t support our lifestyle, much less condone it.”
“He didn’t at first,” Chase says in a wry tone. “But after meeting you, honey, he changed his mind. Now, he wants to know how to find a curvy girl just like you for a menage. You don’t have any friends who are interested, do you?”
My mind whirls.
“Well, actually my friend Corrie has been bugging me. You know, the cute one with the brown curls? I suppose we could introduce them, but who would be the third? And don’t say another woman because Corrie has made it very clear that she wants to be the center of attention with two men.”
Chris and Chase shrug before grinning.
“Hey, that’s up to them, not us. Everyone has to find their own way in life. But enough of that for right now, sweetheart,” growls Chris. “That’s their business and not ours.”
“We’re just excited to have you as our wife because it’s time,” adds Chase simply. “We want the world to know that you belong to us, Patty, and wearing our ring is one way to get it done.”
I don’t answer because I’m so busy kissing my men. After all, this is a dream come true. I never thought I’d have two boyfriends, much less two fiancés or two husbands. But even the most far-fetched idea sometimes comes to fruition, and with a baby on the way, what could be better? I’m excited, ecstatic, and grateful to be in love with both my boyfriend and his friend.
