I’m making love to her.

Her request makes even more sense to me now. I don’t know why we never had the conversation. She didn’t bring it up, and neither did I. She said he never forced himself on her, and we left it at that. I didn’t like thinking about the two of them together like this. Turns out, I didn't have to.

I’m the only man to ever be inside of her.

I roll my hips, and she moans. “Do that again,” she instructs, and I give her what she wants. Her pussy begins to tighten around me, and I know she’s close. I’m there, ready to fly over the edge, so I reach between us and circle her clit with my thumb. Her nails dig into my arms, where she’s holding on. Her eyes close, and I want to demand that she opens them so I can see her, but I don’t. I let her have this moment.

I memorize her every feature, and when her pussy grips me and she calls out my name, her eyes pop open. Liquid blue fire stares back at me as I still and release inside her.

She smiles softly. “I love you, Deacon.”

“I love you too.” I kiss her, sliding my tongue against hers once more, before slowly pulling out. “Don’t move.” I rush to the bathroom. Tossing the condom into the trash, I grab a towel from the shelf and clean up, then collect a washcloth for her. I run it under the warm water before rushing back to the bed. “Open for me,” I instruct, sitting next to her.

“What are you doing?”

“Taking care of you. Open.” I tap her knee.

“You don’t have to do that. It’s… messy. I can do it.”

“I love every part of you, even the messy parts. Especially the messy parts I helped make. Let me take care of you, baby.” My words work. She opens her leg just enough for me to clean her up. Satisfied that she’s as good as can be without a shower, I toss the washcloth through the bathroom door. It hits the floor with a slap, but I don’t care. I’ll get it later. Right now, nothing is more important than holding her.

Sliding under the covers next to her, I pull her into my arms. She rests her head against my chest, and my heart calms, and our breathing evens out. This is the most content I’ve ever been.

“Is it always like that?” she asks.

“No. That’s something that’s only us. You were made for me.”

“When can we do that again?” she asks, making me laugh.

“You’re going to be sore. We have forever.”

“Forever,” she agrees.

“I really need to go to my place and do some laundry,” I tell Deacon. We’re sitting on his couch, curled up under a blanket to ward off the chill of the air conditioning. It’s also a comfort thing for me. I like to be cuddled with my man and a soft fuzzy blanket. It’s been a month since we had sex for the first time, and I never feel like I can be close enough to him. I don’t understand it, but Deacon doesn’t seem to mind me clinging to him when we’re just hanging out, so I don’t let it get to me either.

“We can go pick it up, and you can wash it here.”

“But then I have to pack it back to my place.”

“Just leave it here.”

“So, I’ll come over here and get dressed every day after my shower?” I laugh.

“No. If your things are here, then you will be too.”

I sit up and turn to look at him. “What are you saying? Use your words,” I tease, which earns me a playful poke in my side.

“I have no problem using my words. I want to be where you are. We have more space here, and I know you love the pool, but I can pack some things, and we can spend the week at your place.”

“The week?”

“The week. The month. Forever.” He shrugs.

“Deacon Setty, are you asking me to move in with you?” I wait for the panic to set in or the fear of not owning my own place, but it never comes.

“What would you say if I did?”

“I’d probably tell you that three months of dating isn't long enough.” I pause. He starts to speak, but I talk over him. “Then I’d think about how I feel when I’m with you. I’d think about the love that we share, and I’d think about you telling me that there is no one that matters but us.”

“And?”

“And I’d ask you what we’re going to do with all of my furniture.”

This time it's Deacon who moves to sit up. “Move in with me.”

I open my mouth to agree. The decision is easy. I love him. He loves me. We’ve already promised to be each other’s forever. I’ve spent more time here than at my place in the last month. I’m wasting money on rent. However, before I can give him an answer, he starts to plead his case.
