“Stop looking like that, princess. Just needed a place to crash… it was temporary,” God admonished him.

Perhaps Day wasn’t checking his face as well as he thought. “You should’ve come to me in the first place. Before we became lovers last night… we were still partners,” Day said and sat at the table while God re-packed his toiletries. Day noticed the empty soup cans on the table. “How’s your throat feeling?”

“Fine time for you to ask after you’ve had your tongue down it most of last night and this morning.” God half laughed.

Day flipped him off.

“It’s fine, babe. Thank you for sending Jax yesterday too.” God looked sheepish while he changed into something more appropriate for work.

“What do you think is going on with the case?” Day changed the subject. He didn't want to think about the fight they’d had ever again.

“Honestly, it could be anything. We’re talking about a kingpin. He could have gotten word that the heat is coming down and could’ve gone underground. Could’ve changed the shipping schedule to throw off the Coast Guard. Anything to fuck up our plans,” God said, picking up his weapons.

Day watched God eject the clip of his Eagle, check it, and pop it back in with ease. He cocked the barrel once before putting on the safety and snapping it in his holster. Day had to get his rising hard-on under control. He pushed his palm into his groin and shifted in the hard chair.

“Having some problems over there, gorgeous?” God threw him a sexy wink.

“Why?” Leo slouched down farther in the chair showing his bulge. “You gonna fix my problem?"

God walked toward him with that long-legged, lazy gait and smiled down at him. God had his deep waves pulled back with a thin band. His goatee freshly shaved. A tight black T-shirt and dark jeans hugged him in the most delicious way. His black Desert Eagle was large and in charge and Day wanted to throw God on the mattress—bed bugs be damned—and fuck the hell out of him.

Day rose until their chests touched. God stroked the back of his hand down his cheek and leaned in to kiss his forehead. They stared at each other for a few silent seconds before God finally spoke. “We gotta go.” He leaned in and flicked Day’s hard cock; then licked his lips. “Later,” he promised.

God opened the door with his one large suitcase in his hand and tossed it in the back of the truck.

Day climbed in first and asked. “Where’s the rest of your big stuff?”

God smiled. “Joker brought his guys and put everything in a SWAT van and stored it in his garage. I only had like five pieces.”

“So he was the one you called to come to your rescue, huh?” Day asked and slammed the door to the truck.

“Hey.” God turned Day’s chin to face him. “I swear on everything, I was miserable for those few hours and you know it.”

Day pffted.

“I tracked your ass down, didn’t I.” God stated.

“Yeah, you did.” Day laughed when he thought about God scaring off his boy toy. He laughed so hard that God started laughing too.

They strolled into the precinct ready to hear what the heck was going on with their case. God dropped into his chair and Day sat on top of God’s desk. Immediately one of the second precinct lieutenants approached them.

“Detective Godfrey, I heard you were sick. You doing better, man?”

“Yeah, I’m good,” God said.

“Good. We need everyone at one hundred percent and fully operational.”

Day watched the tall man look him and God over as if they were under inspection. Day frowned and stood up. “I’m going to get some coffee.” Day walked off, leaving God to answer the unnecessary questions.

As soon as Day turned into the kitchen he skidded to a halt. Fuck, not right now.

“Well hello, Day. I was hoping to see you today,” Detective Johnson continued stirring his coffee.

“How’s it going?” Day said dryly and went about setting up his coffee machine.

“It’s going better now that I’m seeing you.” Detective Johnson moved to stand over him. Day had to practically reach around the tall man to start the machine. “Dude, want to give me a little room here?”

“No. I like being close to you.” Detective Johnson ran one long finger slowly down Day’s chest.

“Well fuckin’ unlike it.” They both jumped at the sound of God’s gruff voice.

God walked up to Day and grabbed him by the back of his neck. He spun Day around so hard that he dropped the small packs of sugar to the floor. All he could do was hold on to God’s massive biceps as he ravaged his mouth. Day let God completely control him until he was done proving his point. God released him and Day practically fell back into the counter.
