Oh yes, I was definitely on board with this new system of bribes and rewards.
“Since you’re handing them out so freely.” Bracing my arms around him, I inched closer as he leaned in, letting me lead the way. “And if you’re a good boy, I won’t even ask why you needed to bribe Cohen.”
I swallowed his embarrassed squeak as I kissed him gently, letting my lips caress his as I kept it as innocent as I could. When I finally pulled away, he rested his head against mine, breathing heavily as he radiated need and temptation. “You’re at work. I’m going to be a good Daddy and remember I don’t want you embarrassed here.”
It wasn’t like he was one of the guys who ran around naked and naughty all day.
Ian chuckled, kissing my cheek as he finally sat up. “Yes, work, and I don’t lie well enough to dodge awkward questions.”
Oh yeah, he needed to be able to honestly say we hadn’t done anything questionable in here or everyone would know about it.
But alone on our date later…yeah, that was going to be an entirely different story.
Chapter 6
Ian
“Would I be nosy if I came in and asked how you’re doing or would it just be a friendly discussion?” Kenton smiled as he inched deeper into Reece’s office. “Hello. This is also a reminder that I didn’t get an update yesterday. I’ve been so patient.”
“Both.” Pushing away from the computer, I groaned as I realized how long I must’ve been hunched over the desk. Reece’s vacation timing was perfect, but his chair was terrible. “You’re such a brat.”
Taking my cheeky response as permission to come in, he bounced in the door, thankfully remembering to shut it behind himself. “But I didn’t bug Bishop when he was here and I left you alone to get work done. So now I get rewarded. That’s how friendship works.”
Snorting, I stretched my shoulders and groaned as everything started to ache. “You just want to tell me all about the wonderful Bane.”
Hopefully, that would be enough of a distraction to prevent my interrogation.
Giggling, Kenton flopped down in one of Reece’s chairs and nodded. “Yes, we’re going out to dinner tonight. He’s so sweet.”
Kenton was so lucky he should’ve gone out to buy a lottery ticket.
“That’s great.” When he’d first admitted he hadn’t told Bane about his pup side, I’d been worried, but it’d turned out better than I’d expected. “What else are you guys going to do?”
“Naughty stuff and pup stuff.” Kenton’s smile widened. “Now it’s your turn to tell me about your plans and how your evening went. That’s how a conversation works. I tell you something and you tell me something else.”
He was such a brat.
“My plans involve going home tonight and having little time.” It was just teasing enough that Kenton leaned forward, sighing dramatically as I tried not to laugh. “With Bishop and Cohen.”
His eyes went cartoon sized, and he nearly slipped off the chair he was wiggling so much. “Really? With Cohen too?”
“Well, you remember how I said Bishop wanted me to have dinner with them?” He rolled his eyes like there was no way he could’ve forgotten. “He wanted us to all date together like one big relationship. After dinner, we went back to Cohen’s place to talk. It was nice.”
Waving his arms around like a five-year-old on a sugar rush, he bounced excitedly. “And? And? Did anything happen? Was Bishop jealous? He’d look really hot jealous. Was Cohen really into you? I told you he looked at you a lot. Was Cohen okay with Bishop being your Daddy? Does he want to be a Daddy too? How would having two Daddies work? Wait. How would it work if he wasn’t your Daddy too?”
Thankfully he’d lowered his volume as the questions had gotten more interesting, but I found myself blushing anyway. Everyone else was up front about their private life at work, but it just didn’t come naturally to me.
“It was awkward at first, but they were both really sweet and Cohen kissed me.” He’d kissed me before our date had even started, but the when really didn’t matter to the story. “Bishop seems to like seeing us together.”
When Kenton’s eyes got even wider and he started to giggle like a kid who’d just heard their first dirty joke, I rolled my eyes. “Not like that, dirty pup.”
Well, Bishop would appreciate it like that too, he’d never hidden that, but we’d been taking it slow so far.
“It should always be like that.” Grinning, he went back to wiggling and bouncing. “So what? You’re going to try to make a threesome work?”
That seemed to be the plan but just admitting it to myself had my cheeks getting redder…which just made the giggly pup even worse.
When he finally stopped laughing and giving me knowing looks, he folded his arms over his chest and tried to look serious. “I’m not hearing enough of the juicy bits here. You’re holding out on me. I should be rewarded for not giving in to peer pressure and telling everything I know.”
