“I love you,” Jessie whispered against my lips.

I smiled at him, my chest swelling with emotion for the two men in my life. “I love you, too,” I softly replied as I ran my eyes over his face, drinking in every handsome, perfect part of him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, then looked over at what Lincoln was cooking. “God, I’m starving,” Jessie grumbled.

“It’s almost finished,” Lincoln assured him. “How did the garage go today?”

“Fucking exhausting.” I frowned. “One of the guys quit—couldn’t handle the amount of work.”

“Fuck,” Lincoln swore.

“I can always come in,” I spoke up. Both men looked at me. I shrugged as I trailed my fingers over Jessie’s abs, loving the way his muscles quivered beneath my touch. “I know how to work on cars, and you both know I’m damn good at it.”

“Don’t want you working if you don’t have to, baby,” Lincoln told me. “Jessie and I make more than enough money to provide for you.”

I shrugged. “So? I don’t need money,” I retorted. “I just want to help, at least until you guys can hire a couple more people to work. It’ll give me something to do.”

Jessie clenched his jaw, seeming conflicted. “I don’t know about you working while you’re pregnant,” he finally said, making me scowl at him. “You’re seventeen weeks pregnant, baby girl.”

I sighed, trying to wipe away my irritation. I knew he was just trying to protect me and keep me safe. “I’ll be fine,” I soothed. “I know my limits.”

Jessie grunted and drew me closer to him, plastering my body to his. A gasp left my lips when I felt a solid swipe of a body part in my belly. Jessie jerked back from me, his eyes snapping down to my stomach in surprise. Tears welled in my eyes, my chest swelling with so much love and adoration for the little life inside of me that I felt like my heart might burst out of my chest.

“Did the baby just move?” Jessie asked me, his eyes not moving from my belly.

I nodded, my hands moving to cover my belly when I felt another tiny, little movement. “Holy fuck,” Lincoln breathed. He gently opened my robe and placed his hands on my belly. He waited patiently—probably for a good few minutes—before the baby made another tiny movement.

I moved my hands so Jessie could place his hands on my belly as well, both men desperate now to feel the baby move more.

“I always kept getting little flutters,” I told them, feeling extremely emotional and choked up. “I could never actually feel the baby move—not until today.”

“She’s going to be absolutely perfect,” Jessie whispered when a very light nudge hit the tip of his fingers and the side of Lincoln’s hand.

“She?” I asked, my bottom lip trembling.

“Yeah,” Lincoln breathed, nodding his head. “Something is telling me it’s going to be a perfect, beautiful little girl.” His eyes met mine. “Just like her mother.”

Lincoln placed a hand on my lower back as he led me through the garage, showing me where everything was at. It was before opening, so none of the other workers were there yet. Jessie was finishing up early morning paperwork in the office so he could focus on working on cars throughout the day.

“So, what’s wrong with each of these?” I asked, gesturing to the cars that were currently in the bays.

“The SUV needs a new starter,” Lincoln informed me. “The Honda needs an entirely new transmission. The Jeep needs a new fuel pump.”

“And the ones outside?” I asked him.

Lincoln sighed. “Anything and everything in between,” he told me. “We’ve got an ass of work on our hands, which is nice, but we don’t have enough employees right now to get everything done as quickly as we did back in Farley.”

I looked over at the office as Jessie stepped out. “Let’s go ahead and get started,” he said. “I have an alarm on my phone so we make sure we open on time.”

I leaned up and pressed a kiss to Lincoln’s cheek. “I’m taking the SUV,” I told them.

Jessie gripped my hip before I could move past him, bringing me to a stop. “Be careful,” he commanded. “If you need help, ask for it. Don’t try to do it all by yourself.”

I pressed a sweet kiss to his lips. “Jessie, I know what I’m doing, and I know my limit,” I gently reminded him.

He sighed but released me so I could get started. The baby nudged my belly as I grabbed what I needed to get started, and a smile tilted my lips.

I was wiping my hands on a grease rag when two of the workers walked into the garage from the office. “Hot damn,” the one with a beard said as he ran his eyes over me. I narrowed my eyes at him in response, my hackles rising. “Well, hello, pretty lady.”
