He pushed all of that to the back of his mind and just basked in the tightness of her cunt. There was no reason to think of anything else. He’d be gone by the morning, so none of it would matter. Jade would move on, and again, he couldn’t think about that either, because it messed with his head.

He hated the thought of another man touching what belonged to him, and Jade was his.

She’d not been with any other man.

He deflowered her.

She was his in every sense of the word, and he wasn’t going to let her go. Not fucking ever.

Pulling all the way out of her until only the tip remained, he tightened his grip on her hips and thrust back inside her. He wasn’t gentle, but hard, forceful, almost cruel in his thrusts, but he felt how wet she was.

Braxton let go of one of her hips, reached between them, and began to play with her pretty little cunt. Stroking the tender flesh, building her up, driving her crazy. She whimpered his name, moaned, and begged for more. Her body shook with the need to have another orgasm.

He let her, sending her into the abyss, and even before she had finished her release, he held onto her hips and fucked her hard and fast. He took what he wanted, finding his own release, and he did so inside her. There was no way he was pulling out of her tight cunt. He wanted to stay inside her, filling her up.

Part of him wanted her to take his seed, to get pregnant, which he knew was insane. There was no way they could be together. It was way too dangerous for the two of them to be with each other.

But still, he could dream of a different time, for now.

Chapter Nine

Jade wasn’t going to be angry with herself. They had sex three times that night. It had been amazing, but that was all it had been. Nothing else, as come morning, Braxton was gone. She wasn’t even surprised. There was no note, nothing. Just a full coffeepot, still warm. That was the only sign that he’d even been there.

And so, once again, she tried to get back to her life, work, home, and the occasional shopping trip to the grocery store. This time, she did take little detours, sometimes walking through the park, other times going into the city to do a little window shopping. Each time, she wondered if she would see him.

She didn’t tell anyone about him, not even Lucille. There was no one else in her life to tell. Everyone she knew here had gotten married and moved on with their lives.

The days turned into weeks, and before long, another month had passed. Jade knew she shouldn’t wait for him, that he wasn’t the man for her. He was always gone, and she knew deep in her heart he used her. Braxton had a life she didn’t understand or want.

She liked her life, and it was time for her to get back to it. Heading home when it had been nearly five weeks, she had decided she was going to get dressed up and head to the bar, and this time she was going to see if there was anyone who wanted to talk. Stupid of her, years of experience had taught her that no one ever talked to her at a bar.

Arriving at her apartment, arms full with two bags of groceries, she let herself in and immediately flicked on the light. She was determined not to be sad if he wasn’t there. Even though she knew he wouldn’t be, every single night after work she came home, anticipating.

No, he wasn’t there.

Jade headed into the kitchen and started to put away the groceries, humming to herself as she did so. She tried to find any means of distracting herself from the pain in her chest. It wasn’t a heart attack, but sadness.

She hated to admit it, but she was falling for Braxton, which was incredibly insane. Even though her mother had been gone for eight years, she could just imagine what she would say: “Men like him only want you for one thing, and it’s the one thing you’ve been giving up quite easily, Missy!” Yes, there would be a lot of judgment from her mother. Her father wouldn’t have said anything.

Rubbing her temple, she shook her head and then finished putting her groceries away. She’d put the final tub of ice cream in the freezer when someone knocked at her door.

At first, Jade stood frozen. No one ever knocked at her door. The postal guy had a place to drop deliveries into. This made no sense. Even when she had friends who wanted to meet up, they didn’t knock on the door, she would arrange to meet them.
