I get to kiss her goodnight.

Once.

Only once.

We have talked and laughed with ease and I am surprised at just how much we have in common.

She may just be the coolest chick I have ever met.

A song comes on and I hold my hand out for her. “Would you like to dance?”

She smiles sexily. “You said you don’t dance?”

“I don’t dance on drug ships.”

“Only on dates?” she whispers in surprise.

I throw her a wink. “Only on special dates.”

We make our way to the dance floor and the song changes to some weird song I haven’t heard before.

Play that song

The one that makes me go all night long

The one that makes me think of you

That’s all you gotta do.

We sway to the music and she smiles up at me. “Look at you, dancing all date-like.”

I shake my head with a grin and twirl her away from me violently and she laughs out loud.

“Stop talking, you’re distracting my moves,” I reply as I twirl her again.

We come close again and she looks lovingly up at me.

“What is this weird, hippy song?” I ask.

“I don’t know, but it’s my new favorite.” She smiles innocently.

I stare down at her and so many emotions run through me, but the overwhelming one is regret.

Regret for what I did to her.

Regret for how we met.

Regret that this feeling she gives me can’t go on forever.

She starts to sing up at me and I know it’s the champagne singing, but it just may be the most perfect thing I have ever heard.

If only.

Cut it out. I have to get out of this sappy mood. This isn’t me. This isn’t who I am. I don’t do sappy.

I twirl her violently again and she laughs out loud.

I will remember this, dancing to this hippy song with this beautiful girl, her laughter ringing loud around me.

The way she looks up at me, the way she feels in my arms.

With one last twirl the song ends and the dance floor empties. She walks over to the DJ.

“Excuse me, what is the name of that song, please?” She asks.

“Play That Song by Train,” The DJ replies.

“Thank you,” she replies. “Can you put that in your phone for me so I don’t forget?” she asks me.

I smirk as I type the name into my notes. “You like that song?” I ask.

“My favorite.” She smiles.

We walk into the foyer of the hotel and into the elevator.

Just walk her to the door and kiss her goodnight.

That’s it.

Nothing else.

Just a kiss. One kiss.

She has dreamed of a perfect date for all of her life, and damn it, I am going to give it to her if it’s the last thing I do… and it might just be the last thing I do. I could die tomorrow because my balls are already hurting from what they know they are missing out on.

We hold hands and I stare at the floor, focused on the task at hand.

One kiss. Just one kiss.

I can do this. Of course I can do this.

“Oh, look, there’s a pool,” she whispers excitedly. “Can we go see it?”

“Ah.” I hesitate. Oh, that’s not a good idea. More alone time. “Sure,” my mouth replies before consulting my brain or my dick…. the control center of this male body.

She pushes the button before waiting for my reply and soon the elevator doors are opening. The pool area is on the roof and the lights from the surrounding buildings glow in the distance. The area is darkened with spotlights in the water.

“Oh, isn’t it perfect,” she cries. She is tottery on her feet and I smile at her inebriation

I smile. “It is.”

She wraps her arms around my neck. “Let’s dance again.”

I wrap my arms around her and hold her close. “We don’t have any music,” I whisper.

She stares up at me and starts to sing the words to that song we danced to.

“Play that song, the one that makes me go too long.”

We start to sway and I laugh because she doesn’t know the words and her voice is so off key.

“The one that makes me think of you.”

I swallow the lump in my throat. This is too much.

“That all you gotta do.”

She giggles into the silence. “You know all dates are going to be woeful after this one,” she murmurs as her eyes search mine.

“They better be,” I whisper.

“This is the part where you kiss me.”

13

I stare down at her and if I didn’t know better I would swear I am 13 again and this is my first kiss. “You want me to kiss you?” I ask.

She smiles lovingly and nods.

I bend and softly take her lips in mine. Her eyes close and her lips are soft and open, just like I imagine she is under her dress.

Cut it out!

My cock thumps in appreciation at the last thought, but it’s my tongue that brings me back to reality. We kiss again and again, and with my eyes fused shut, I have no idea how to control myself.
