“Fiora,” Braken calls, gesturing me toward him with a wave of his hand. “We’ve been apart for too long.”

Merrick and Soren are standing near him, as are Storee and Locke.

“I say we call it a night,” Braken says to everyone when I snuggle up to his side and he kisses me on the forehead. “Shall we all take the helicopter back to Heathens Hollow together?”

Storee looks to me. “Do you feel you can break away yet?”

I glance over at my father and then back at Braken. “I make my own decisions now. Not my father.”

Saying this out loud feels good. I don’t know if I truly believe the words, at least not a hundred percent, but I’m going to work hard at my independence and breaking free from the Godwin name every day until I do.

“You know…” Soren says with an arched eyebrow. “If we head back now, we’ll get back in time for the last hunt of the season.”

Everyone’s faces light up. Storee blushes as she glances at Locke with hooded eyes. I smile at Braken who has a devilish smirk, and Merrick reaches out and takes Soren’s hand in his.

“I like the way you think.” Locke pulls Storee up against his side and kisses her cheek.

“Fiora?” Braken asks me, allowing the decision to be up to me.

“Let’s go home,” I say. “Heathens Hollow and The Hunt are waiting.”

Chapter 43

Fiora

I never imagined I’d be turning the red light on again, especially as an engaged woman, but I suppose this is going to be my new normal since I’m marrying Braken Frost, and he and his best friends run The Hunt. You won’t see me complain one bit.

With the red of the bulb illuminating the porch as the signal of what’s to come, I’m ready.

The Hunt.

I stand in my white nightgown, waiting. Waiting for the masked man. The three masked men.

There is something wild, something ancient in the air tonight.

The soft crunch of boots on gravel echoing in the quiet night, followed by the eerie whistle. It’s time.

Run!

I suck in a deep breath, willing my heartbeat to quit its furious tempo. I bolt from my porch toward the woods, knowing they will be right behind me. And when the catch me, it won’t just be one of them fucking me this time. It will be all three.

Raw.

Savage.

Primal.

My bare feet slap against the cold ground, each step giving life to my excitement. The only reason I’m running is because I know they will catch me. I want this. I fucking want this.

I dodge a low-hanging branch as I race deeper into the woods, but my foot catches on a root and suddenly I’m tumbling forward. I hit the icy earth with a gasp, hot pain radiating from scraped knees.

But there’s no time for pain.

No time for fear.

Run!

I scramble to my feet, darting a glance over my shoulder just in time to see their shadows stretching in the moonlight. My nightgown flutters around my legs like a ghostly reminder of safety and comfort far behind me.

A strong hand grips my wrist, yanking me back with such force that I lose my footing and stumble backward into a firm chest.

I attempt to pull away, but the grip around my wrist is unyielding.

“Don’t fight,” another says behind his bone mask, low and dangerous in my ear.

I’m surrounded by all three now, each of them taking hold of my body.

The man on my right is silent. He glides his hands over my shoulders, then down my body to my thighs. He lifts me, easily as if I weigh nothing. He carries me deeper into the woods—away from the light, away from any trace of sanity.

My heart beats wildly, and every fiber of my being screams to break free and run, but another part of me thrills at what’s to come.

I twist in the man’s arms, writhing against his grasp. Without warning, I’m released, tossed to the ground like a rag doll. The forest floor is hard against my back, twigs and leaves digging into my skin through the thin fabric of my nightgown. I gasp as the cold ground sucks the warmth from me.

One of them drops to his knees beside me; his fingers trace a path from my knee to my thigh. His eyes meet mine through the slits in his mask—an unspoken promise of what awaits.

Fingers encircle my wrist, pinning it above my head as he thrusts his cock inside me while the other two masked men look down upon us.

There are no words, just the raw sounds of our bodies meeting, echoing through the silent woods. I watch as one of the others unzips his pants, his body language full of anticipation. He steps forward, kneeling next to us on the forest floor.

He pushes his dick into my mouth while the last of the three frees his cock and kneels on my other side. He then pushes his cock to my lips as well and the two men take turns.
