“Tangled! Wook, Mommy! Daddy! It’s Tangled! ’Punzel and Flynn! I loves Flynn!” She starts to loudly sing along to the song.

I’m smiling up at her when I see Zeus’s lips moving along to the song with her.

I grin at him. Big, tough Zeus Kincaid is singing a Disney song. And, inside, I’m melting.

And tired of fighting that I want him.

Zeus catches me watching him. He smiles that beautiful smile of his, and my stomach flips.

My hand moves, unbidden, seeking his.

I find it, warm and strong. I slide my palm against his.

His eyes flicker with surprise.

I keep my eyes on him. Bottom lip caught between my teeth, I push my fingers between his, giving him no doubt of what’s on my mind.

His expression changes, becoming dark and serious and wanting.

I’m playing a dangerous game. I know that.

But I want him.

I’m not fighting it anymore tonight.

Tomorrow, I’ll go back to fighting.

But, tonight, I’m putting down my gloves.

Gigi is asleep on Zeus’s shoulders before we even leave Main Street. Steve and Donovan accompany us back to the hotel, seeing us to our suite.

While Zeus carries Gigi to bed, I lock up. I take the bag with Gigi’s evening purchases into the living room. That girl is getting spoiled rotten here, but then, if you can’t spoil your kid in Disney, where can you spoil them?

Then, I go into the little kitchen area and grab two bottles of beer out of the mini fridge. I pop the caps off them both.

I take a much-needed swig from my bottle before carrying them out into the living room.

I’m not a big drinker, and Zeus rarely drinks due to his training, but I figure we deserve one after a long day of fun.

And I’m not in any way trying to get him drunk, so I can have my wicked ways with him. I know I don’t need that to get Zeus.

He’s made it more than plainly clear that he wants me.

No, this is Dutch courage for me. And I don’t want to drink alone.

I put my bottle down next to Zeus’s and stand at the window, looking out over the park.

I hear the click of Gigi’s bedroom door shutting.

I turn to see him coming into the living room.

“She okay?”

“Out for the count,” he says, walking toward me.

“I got you a beer.” I indicate to his bottle on the coffee table.

He doesn’t acknowledge what I just said. He walks straight past the beer and toward me.

That’s when I recognize the look in his eyes. I saw it plenty of times over the years we were together. His hunting look.

My legs start to tremble. My stomach somersaulting.

And, even though I want this…him…I find myself backing up, pancaking myself to the window.

He reaches me, chest flush against mine. His big hands slide down my thighs, curling around the backs of them, and he lifts me off the floor, forcing me to wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck.

“What are you doing?” I whisper, my voice quietly shaking.

Stupid question. Because I know exactly what he’s doing. What I’ve wanted him to do since we arrived here. What I told him with my actions earlier.

He brings his face closer to mine. “You know exactly what I’m doing. Giving you what we both want.” Then, he covers my mouth with his and kisses me.

I immediately open up for him. His mouth is hot against mine. His tongue slides into my mouth, making me moan.

I press myself closer to him.

He deepens the kiss. A day’s worth of stubble is scratching against my skin, turning me on further, reminding me of how it used to feel against the tender skin of my inner thighs.

The thought makes me clench my thighs tighter around him.

I’m needy, and I want him badly.

“Bedroom,” I say against his lips. It’s all I can manage to say.

Zeus moves us through the space, heading for the room he’s been sleeping in, while I devour every inch of skin on his neck.

He carries me into the room and closes the door behind him.

“Does it have a lock?” I ask him.

“No.”

“Gigi might wake up and come in.”

“Babe, she’s not waking up for anything or anybody.”

True. When my girl’s out, she’s out.

“Okay,” I breathe. Then, I kiss him again.

He carries me over to the bed, putting me down on the edge of it.

He takes a step back. His eyes roam over me, making me shiver.

“Strip,” he says, his voice like gravel.

On command, I reach for the hem of my top and pull it over my head before sense climbs into my brain.

I toss my top to the floor and then say, “Just because we’re doing this, it doesn’t mean we’re getting back together.”

“Mmhmm,” is his response.

“Zeus.” I frown.

“Dove.”

“Say it.”

His brows pull together. “It doesn’t mean we’re getting back together. Satisfied?”

No.

“Yes.”

“Good. Now, lift your skirt up and show me that gorgeous pussy of yours.”
