“Brax,” I say again. This time when I say his name, he groans and rolls toward me, pulling me into his arms. I’m not expecting it, so I screech in shock, and he covers my mouth to silence me.

His other hand slides down my hip and cups my pussy, and his mouth latches on to the side of my neck, nipping and sucking on my flesh.

“We have to go,” I mumble from under his hand.

“What? I can’t hear you,” he says, humor in his voice. “Did you say you need some morning sex?”

He pushes two fingers into me, and I moan, my eyes rolling back. “We have to go,” I say again even though my words are indecipherable.

“I agree,” he says, a mischievous grin on his sexy face. “A good morning dicking is exactly what you need.”

He uncovers my mouth, and I snort out a laugh. “We need to—”

My words are cut off when his thumb goes to my clit, massaging it gently.

“Maybe...we can be a few minutes late.”

“We have one more question to ask because if we don’t, women all over the city will come after us.”

We’re at the radio interview—and shockingly—I have no idea how—we actually arrived on time. After Braxton gave me two orgasms and a “good morning dicking” as promised, we showered, and then he ran to my bus to grab my clothes so I wouldn’t have to do the walk of shame from one bus to the other. We parted ways once we were dressed since I needed to work and met back up in the SUV to grab breakfast and go to the scheduled interview. We haven’t spoken a word about last night, and thankfully, although they know what went down, the guys haven’t said a word either.

“Are any of you off the market, aside from Camden, since we know he’s officially taken?”

The questions are always the same and have to be preapproved by the guys, so nothing pops up unexpectedly. I’ve listened to them answer this question a dozen times over the course of the tour, but now, as I wait for Braxton to answer, because he’s always the one who answers it first, I can’t help but hope his answer will be different than his usual.

“The only woman warming my bed is Melanie,” he says, referring to his customized one-of-a-kind guitar.

Despite telling myself not to expect anything to change between us after last night, my heart sinks. It’s not like I expected him to announce that he spent the night inside me, but I guess I hoped he’d make some kind of comment indicating something had changed.

Gage and Declan both give their standard responses, and then the interview ends. Since the first of the two shows aren’t until tomorrow, the guys have the rest of the day to themselves to do what they want. Jill’s already checked everyone into the hotel, so I grab the keys and give them to the guys, reminding them that we’ll be leaving early in the morning and then take off to my own room.

As I’m pressing my key to the door, a warm body comes up behind me, sending butterflies scattering around my belly. “How many orgasms do you think I can give you in eight hours?”

“I don’t know,” I rasp, freezing in place.

Braxton plucks the key from my fingers and presses it to the door, unlocking and then opening it. “There’s only one way to find out.”

Guess Melanie won’t be warming his bed tonight either.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

BRAXTON

“You want to explain what the hell happened on the bus?” Camden asks. We’re in the dressing room at the venue, about to go on for our first of two back-to-back shows. It’s the first time we’ve been alone since I hauled Kaylee over my shoulder and spent the next several hours inside her—only stopping long enough to do a scheduled interview.

“Like you didn’t hear what happened on the bus over and over again,” Declan says with a smirk.

“And on the other side of the wall in the hotel,” Gage adds dryly, taking a hit of his joint before offering it to me.

“So what, you two are back together?” Camden asks.

I shake my head at Gage, not in the mood to get high, and think about Camden’s question. I’m unsure what to say because despite spending the last day and a half in Kaylee, I don’t know what’s going on between us. Do I want to get back together with her? Yeah. But at the same time, the shit that went down is fucked up, and I need time to process it all. Should I have fucked her before figuring my shit out? Probably not. But our chemistry was never the issue, and when she told me she wasn’t the same without me, something in me snapped, and I had to have her, consequences be damned.
