“Fuck. You’re so tight. So wet.” His voice was gasoline on the flames, which were now an inferno. “I want you to come for me.”

Whether he wanted it or not, it was happening. My body had tightened to the point of pain, my stomach muscles contracting, my legs clamped around him. And then my world exploded in one seismic eruption, tremors emanating from my core and rippling through my body. I was still deep in their throes when Dash’s climax hit, hearing him grunt with every stroke, feeling him thicken and throb within me. He crushed his lips to mine as my insides gripped him again and again.

For a long moment, our mouths shared a breath, our bodies shared a pulse, our hearts shared a rhythm.

I suddenly had the feeling I would never be the same.

“I’m thinking Delphine was right about this whole walking around naked thing,” Dash said, returning to my bedroom with two glasses of water, wearing not a stitch of clothing. “I feel really good right now. You should try it.”

I had on a T-shirt I’d grabbed from a drawer and pulled over my head after he’d left the room, although I hadn’t bothered with underwear. I laughed as I took the glass he handed to me. “You just had an orgasm. Maybe that’s part of it.”

“Maybe.” He stood by the side of the bed and took a few gulps of water. Illuminated by the lamp on my nightstand, he looked like a god, or a bronze statue of a god. Weight in one hip, arm lifted, biceps bulging, muscles working as he swallowed. Even the goddamn dangle was hot. I watched him and thought for the millionth time how beautiful he was.

He lowered the half-empty glass. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“You’re nice to look at.” Crossing my bare legs at the ankles, I leaned back against my headboard and took a sip.

His eyebrows rose. “No more average at best?”

“Suddenly I’m seeing you in an all new light. Those orgasms are powerful things.”

He downed the rest of the water and set the glass on my nightstand. “Speaking of which.” He flopped onto his side across the foot of my bed, propping his head in one hand. “How serious were we about that just once business?”

“I don’t know,” I said, my toes tingling. “We sounded serious.”

“We did, didn’t we?” Brow furrowed, he reached out and rubbed my foot. “There were reasons.”

“There were,” I agreed.

“I’m just having trouble remembering what they were, exactly. Why they mattered.”

“Well, I can’t think at all if you’re going to rub my feet like that,” I said as his thumb worked beneath the ball of my foot.

Immediately he moved closer so he could use both hands. “Your feet must hurt all the time. You’re on them day and night.”

“Oh, God.” I moaned softly as he massaged my sore arch. “What were we talking about again?”

“Orgasms.”

“I might have another one right now.”

He laughed. “Good.”

My eyes closed as he rubbed one foot and then the other. “You know, if acting doesn’t work out, you’d make a great massage therapist. You have amazingly strong hands.”

“Thanks,” he said, working his way up my calf muscle. “But there’s only one person I’d put my hands on this way.”

“You wouldn’t make a very good living at it with only one client.”

“Nope. And I’d never let her pay.” His hands moved up to my thigh. “So as I was saying. I think we may have been too hasty in setting a time limit on our exploration in vulnerability.”

“You could be right.”

His fingertips brushed me intimately, stroked me shallowly. “I mean, I really feel like it’s working.” He brought a finger to his mouth and closed his lips around it. Pulled it out. Then he eased it inside me, using his thumb to rub my clit. “Don’t you?”

My nipples tightened and poked through the thin, faded pink cotton of my shirt. “Yes,” I whispered, my body humming and alive with need. “It’s definitely working.”

“In fact, I think we’ve only scratched the surface of all the possible benefits of this enhanced friendship.” He added a second finger, keeping his eyes locked on mine.

“Yes,” I agreed, because apparently that’s the only word I could come up with when Dash’s hands were on me.

“But we should probably keep this to ourselves.”

“Most definitely.”

“Of course, a question remains.”

“Question?” I panted.

“The question,” he said, fucking me slowly with his fingers, “of whether two people can stay friends when they add these kinds of benefits.”

“I think they can.” I understood his concern. “Nothing has to change, Dash. No expectations here.”

“None here either.” He paused. “Well, maybe one.”

“What’s that?”

“I expect that when I tell you to do something, you’ll do it.”

“Try me.”

His sexy mouth curled up on one side. “Take off your shirt.”

I pulled it over my head and tossed it to the floor.
