“Yeah, yeah, I love you too, you big lug.” She shrugs him off. “Now, don’t mess with me unless you want to eat burnt bacon.”

“I’m not picky,” he tells her. “You’re cooking. I’ll eat it no matter what it tastes like.” He gives her his camera-ready charming smile, and she just shakes her head. “I’m going to go grab a shower. Give me ten,” Caleb says, disappearing up the steps.

He’s barely gone before I resume my position behind her. This time I wrap my arms around her waist and bury my face in her neck. I don’t dare taste her, not as I want. Ten minutes isn’t long enough, and I know for certain we’ll get caught. I can’t do that to her. Caleb is the only family that actually cares about her. Her mom and dad only used her as a pawn. I won’t do that to her. However, I will hold her. It’s not the same as holding her in my arms while we sleep, but any amount of time I can have her in my arms is a win in my book.

“Thanks for making breakfast,” I murmur, my lips next to her ear.

“Y-You’re welcome.”

I’m still holding her when she starts to pull the bacon from the pan and reach for the eggs. “I’ll set the table,” I tell her, releasing my hold. Her breath shudders, and she nods. She’s just as affected by me as I am by her. Now the question is, what do we do about it?

“Thanks for breakfast, sis.” Caleb stands and places his plate in the dishwasher. “We have a short practice today since tomorrow is game day. It should be an early one.” He pauses and adds, “Oh, I forgot to tell you. I ordered you a new jersey. It should be here today.”

“I already have a jersey,” she reminds him.

“Yeah, well, now you have another one. Oh, and I got you one of Brock’s too.” He looks over at me, where I’m still sitting at the kitchen table. “Gotta get my boy’s name out there too.” He grins.

I grin back at him, but it’s not because my best friend is supporting me. It’s because he bought his little sister my jersey. The same woman, who in a matter of days, has managed to turn me inside out with need for her. Now, she’s going to have my name on her back. Call me a caveman, but that does something to me. It’s a feeling I’ve never felt before. It’s new and thrilling and all because of Joey.

“It’s your turn to drive,” I say, standing. “I just need to run upstairs and grab my wallet.” Taking my plate to the sink, I rinse it off and place it in the dishwasher. “Thank you for breakfast, Joey.” Her bright eyes sparkle as she nods.

It’s insane how badly I want to kiss her. Instead, I back away and race upstairs. In my room, I dig around in the nightstand until I find a scrap piece of paper and a pen. Looking at the paper, it appears to be some kind of instructions for furniture. Turning it over, I write out a quick note on the back.

Joey,

My jersey. I can’t stop thinking about you in that and nothing else.

The things running through my mind…

Wear it to the game tomorrow?

Have a great day, beautiful.

Brock

It’s not exactly romantic, but it’s the truth. The moment Caleb mentioned he ordered her my jersey, that’s all I can think about. Joey lying on my bed, her hair splayed out over the pillows, and she’s wearing nothing except my jersey. Although in my fantasy, it’s my actual jersey, not a replica. I want her in the one that I wear. I want her skin to smell like both of us. Reaching into my shorts, I adjust my cock. It looks like it’s going to take me longer than a second. I can’t go down there like this.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, I close my eyes and run stats. Finally, after a few moments, I’m able to stand. I adjust myself once again and step out into the hallway. I ease open her bedroom door to take the note to her pillow. Folding the paper in half, I place it where she’s sure to see it before slowly leaving the room. I take my time making my way back downstairs just to ensure that there is no evidence of what she does to me.

“Caleb’s in the car. He’s waiting on you,” Joey says when I hit the bottom step.

She’s standing in the middle of the kitchen, wringing her hands together. Do I make her nervous? “Come here.” I open my arms wide, and she hesitates for a split second before walking into my embrace. “I’ll see you when I get home.”
