“Are you serious?” I gasp.

“I sure am,” Russell chuckles. “But I’ll be willing to pay whatever it costs to claim you for your first time, gorgeous. To make you mine and only mine.”

Holy shit. Is this really happening? Is this new guy really offering me money for my virginity? There have been offers from the other men for the same thing, and I’ve seen other girls go through with it. Last month, in fact, a big pageant winner got a lot of money for hers. But me? The thought never even crossed my mind. Climbing into bed with a man three generations older than me for my first time never sounded like something I wanted to remember for the rest of my life.

But this handsome man?

There’s also that matter of my father’s gambling debts and the situation at home.

My dad drinks and is so bad with his money that he owes a ton to so many people. That’s the reason I started working here in the first place, as a fast way to pay off his debts so the collectors would stop showing up at our house at all hours of the night with weapons and threatening him with what will happen if he doesn’t pay up.

I’ve managed to make a decent dent in it so far with my dancing, but if Russell comes through with the rest, my dad and I could be clear of this whole situation.

“Well, my dad does owe five thousand in gambling debts–”

“Done,” he replies.

I feel his grip tighten on my waist as if he already owns me. My eyes go wide, and he pulls me tight and presses his bulge against me. It’s thick and hard and enormous. “You feel that?” he asks. “You’ve already done that to me, gorgeous.”

His gaze trails down my body, taking in my breasts, my stomach, and my thighs. I know that right now, at this moment, I’m just a transactional piece of flesh to him, and he’s just an account with money in it. But I can’t help but feel as though there’s more going on behind all this. More than just lust causing his dick to rise and more than just an escape route that I see in him.

But behind him, standing at the door, I see the guard in the suit giving me the eye again. This time, he’s much more emphatic and points at me with an index finger. Now, I can see him mouth to me.

Okay, I mouth back.

“All right, we have to do this now,” I say to Russell. “Before they get upset.”

“Okay.” Russell nods. “I don’t want them getting upset. How do we do this? Cash? I assume they don’t take cards here?”

“No, they do,” I reply. “It shows up on your statement as Cloudy Mountain Enterprises.”

Russell smirks. “Cloudy Mountain Enterprises?”

“That’s right.” I nod. “So as long as your card will accept the charge, then we’re good to go. There’s a surcharge for…them as well…”

Russell gently reaches up and threads his fingers through my hair, which sends a gentle shiver through my spine. He smiles. “Yeah, we’re good, gorgeous.”

This time, I’m the one leading him from the patio back inside. My entire body is buzzing with excitement and anticipation as we head for the checkout room, but as we walk, I can’t help but think that a part of me recognizes something familiar about this man.

Maybe it’s just me being nervous about knowing I’m finally going to be losing my virginity and wanting to be losing it to someone I sort-of-kind-of know instead of a complete stranger, but even as Russell hands his card to the man in the charcoal gray suit whose name I still have not learned, I can’t help but shake the feeling that he and I have met before. As he’s paying, I grab my coat from the closet. Thankfully, he was right, and they do accept his card.

But I must be projecting something that he picks up on, because as we step outside into the night, he glances over at me and gives me a look. It’s not quite a frown, not quite a squint, not quite a stare, it’s just a look.

“What?” I ask, feeling like I’ve suddenly blown the entire night.

“I should ask you the same thing,” he smiles, calming my nerves slightly. “For the last five minutes you’ve been looking at me like you just realized I was an alien in a human body.”

I laugh softly, trying to maintain the levity of the moment and shake my head. “No, it’s nothing,” I reply.

“You sure?” Russell replies as we reach his car. I see by the state of it that he definitely was not lying about not being one of the many rich assholes I dance for here every week.

“I am.” I smile as he opens the door for me like a gentleman. “Don’t even worry about it. Must have been my resting-weird-face.”
