“I’m sorry, Princess,” he said, sounding anything but. “However, you have no choice. You must quench the Thirst inside you. Besides, if you don’t come, your two little playthings will be so upset. They’re already strapped to the Quenching chairs and waiting for you.”

“Wait—Quenching chairs?” I shook my head. “What the hell are those?”

“Why don’t you come along with me to the Quenching Parlor and find out?” Mordren said mockingly. He nodded at the two muscular guards who nodded back.

And then, before I knew it, the two guards had me by the arms and were dragging me out the door and across the way to the Quenching Parlor where Seldarin and Krynn were waiting for me.

I was horrified when I first walked in. Not by the décor—which was all dark maroon and gold brocade and looked kind of like an old-timey bordello. But by the fact that both Krynn and Seldarin were strapped down in what looked like torture devices.

“What did you do to them?” I demanded, running forward. On closer inspection, the devices they were in looked a little bit like dentist’s chairs. Well, if a dentist’s chair had leather straps on the arms and across the footrest at the bottom to hold the patient in place. These must be the “Quenching chairs.”

Both Sel and Krynn were strapped into these chairs, which were semi-reclined. The guys were shirtless and someone had opened both their trousers, which meant that both of their cocks were out and on display.

“Sel! Krynn!” I came to stand between the two chairs, looking down at them.

“Hello, Princess.” Sel looked up at me, his bronze eyes glowing with a mixture of emotions I couldn’t name. Maybe lust mixed with reluctance? “You look beautiful,” he growled softly.

Krynn, on the other hand, wasn’t reluctant at all.

“My Lady,” he breathed, looking up at me, his green eyes drowsy with lust. “I am ready to serve you in any way you deem necessary.” And turning his head, he bared the side of his throat for me invitingly.

“You can stop that, because I’m not…not going to…” My words trailed off and I found that—to my horror—I was studying the vein on Krynn’s neck. It was just under the surface and I could almost see it pulsing. Not only that, I could smell it—the sweet, coppery, metallic scent must be the blood pumping through his vessels. But how was I suddenly so attuned to it?

“Princess, come here! Stop it—bite me first!” Seldarin’s deep voice broke my concentration and called me from my rapt contemplation of Krynn’s neck.

“Hmm?” I took a step closer to the big Fae. “What are you saying?”

“I’m asking you to bite me first,” he said urgently.

“But why?” I frowned. “Is it because you’re worried about him?”

“That’s part of it,” he admitted. “You don’t understand—Krynn’s a Sin Eater—he feels the pain of others he’s close to, so right now he’s probably feeling your Thirst. He’s also very close to the end of his Needing cycle—those two together are a lethal combination!”

I shook my head.

“I still don’t understand.”

“It’s going to make him too willing—even eager to give you everything he has,” Sel explained. “The pain your fangs cause and the Thirst you feel will make him want you even more—he’ll need to submit to you. He won’t tell you to stop, no matter how close to death you bring him.”

“I don’t want to hurt him!” I exclaimed, but my throat was like a desert. “God, Sel—I don’t want to hurt either one of you!”

“I know you don’t, but you have to—you need to drink,” he told me. “Come take my vein, Princess. I don’t have the Needing and I’m not a Sin Eater—I’ll be able to tell you if you take too much of my blood.”

“I don’t want to take any at all!” I protested, but I realized that was no longer strictly true. I could see a vein in Seldarin’s thick neck as well—it seemed to stand out to me, pulsing and throbbing with his life’s essence…calling to me…begging me to sink my fangs in deep…

No!

I turned my head, deliberately not looking at his throat anymore. But that left me staring at his cock, which was standing at attention. My eyes went wide as I studied it. It was so big! Seriously, like nothing I’d ever seen outside of the porn I’d caught my ex watching on several occasions. It put me in mind of the spicy romances I liked to read, where the author always described the hero’s equipment as being “as long as her forearm.”

Well, Sel wasn’t quite that big but he was close. And he was thick too—I’m talking a regular beer can. I had never seen such length and girth combined before—it was fascinating and a little scary. The head looked unusual too—it came to a kind of soft point rather than being a rounded cap.
