“Oh, yeah?” I scoop up some snow and hurl it at him, hitting him right in the chest. “Back at you, you little twerp.”

“Snowball fight!” Drew yells. Suddenly, I’m in the middle of a snow war on a glacier in Iceland, having the time of my damn life.

There’s laughter and yelps from icy snow ending up down shirts, and when we’re finished, we’re all spread out on the ground, laughing and trying to catch our breath.

“You’re pretty fast for an old lady.” My teenage cousin Finn smirks at me.

“Do you want me to kill you right here and now?”

He laughs and lays back on the snow. “Right.”

“My dad was a SEAL. Do you think he didn’t teach me how to kill people and make it look like an accident?”

Finn just laughs and then halfheartedly tosses a little snow my way. “You love me. You wouldn’t kill me.”

“Maim, then.”

“Nah. I’m too cute.”

“You used to be.” I tilt my head to the side, watching him. His blue eyes are bright with laughter. “Now, you’re just a weird little teenager.”

“That’s my job.” He shrugs a shoulder, completely unconcerned with my comment. “Come on, I’ll help you up.”

He stands and offers me a hand, which I take. But instead of standing, I pull him onto the snow next to me, and it sends us into another fit of giggles.

“Well, look at this.” I gaze up into my sister’s smiling face. “My one and only sister, having fun.”

“Oh, don’t start.”

Finn stands once more, holding out his hand for mine. This time, I grab it and climb to my feet.

“And that, my gorgeous friends, is how a family has a snowball fight in Iceland!” Sophie is talking to her phone, per usual, panning the camera around at all of us. She’s an incredible fitness influencer with millions of followers. I think people love her because she’s real. Fun. And she likes to incorporate the family into her videos, bringing in guests like Uncle Will and Haley—who’s a runner. She even hung out with Drew and his team for a day.

Heck, even I follow Sophie, and I don’t run unless something’s chasing me.

“I like that you’re enjoying yourself,” Josie adds and kisses my numb cheek. “It’s fucking cold out here.”

“It feels good, though,” Olivia says as she and Stella join us. The guys are off somewhere, exploring.

I like that my cousin’s men are friends.

“I love your coat.” I run my hand down the sleeve of Liv’s coat and sigh. “Where did you get it?”

“I made it.” She gives me a toothy grin. “I can make you one if you want.”

“I won’t need a coat that heavy for Seattle, but it’s seriously beautiful.”

I pet her one more time and then sigh.

I really am having fun.

But I kind of miss Dylan.

Which is so weird.

“Are you mooning over your man?” Josie asks, and I feel my eyes widen. “What? They can know,” she adds.

“We already know,” Stella says and bumps me with her shoulder. “Josie told us.”

“You said you wouldn’t tell.”

“Come on, it’s juicy news. And I only told the cousins, not the parents.”

“Gee, I guess that makes it all better then.”

“Come on, you know we live for this stuff.” Olivia pats my shoulder and grins. “You should have brought him today so we could all check him out.”

“No way. It’s just a vacation fling. He doesn’t need to meet the family.”

“Well, the alternative is splitting your time between him and us while you’re here, and that’s not fun,” Stella points out. “So, I think you should just spend time with him.”

“I agree,” Josie pipes up.

“This is a family holiday vacation,” I remind them. “That I didn’t pay for. It would be rude and just plain wrong for me to ignore everybody for the rest of the trip.”

“I didn’t suggest that,” Stella points out. “Hey, Luke said we can do as much or as little as we want. I say you spend most of your time with Dylan. You can still hang with the fam for dinner or whatever. But you can see all of us whenever you want back home.”

“Not in Iceland, though.”

“Are you always this stubborn?” Liv asks, propping her hands on her hips.

“Yeah,” Josie says with a nod. “She is. I agree, Mad. Go have all the wild sex in the world. Fuck him until he’s blind.”

“You’re such a lady.”

Josie snorts. “Then, all of us cousins can meet up, and you can tell us all about it.”

“I knew there were ulterior motives.”

“Seriously, I don’t remember the last time I saw you this happy.” Liv smiles at me. “So, go. Be happy. I hear he’s a dish. I want to meet him.”

“You know, we’re planning a cousins’ night the last night we’re at the lagoon. Bring him. The parents won’t be there, so there’s no pressure for him to make a good impression. It’ll be casual and fun, and we can check him out.” Stella grins. “It’s perfect.”
