Hades was holding himself taut, the veins in his neck protruding with the effort it was taking him not to surge inside of me.

“No?” he repeated, one of his dark brows arching. Of course, he was never going to do anything against my will, but he also knew very well how much I wanted him.

“No,” I mumbled, lips inches from his. “I want you.”

His eyes darkened. “Baby, you’re about to have all of me,” he rasped, the words caressing my skin.

“I want you,” I repeated. “In my mouth.”

He stilled completely, eyes on my lips. There was a battle in his eyes. His cock was pressing up against me, I was wet, fucking soaked for him. But I had managed to have sex with him countless times, had him go down on me countless times, without me returning the favor. Such things were almost unheard of. It was almost always the other way around. I had wanted to, but we’d always gotten carried away. Hades always took control.

Hades found some of that trademark control now as he stepped back. I gritted my teeth against the loss. Then I prepared to get down on my knees. Hades stopped me. “No, baby.”

I frowned in confusion until he moved us across the room toward the sofa where he nabbed one of the cushions and threw it down on the hardwood floor.

To protect my knees.

My knees were on the pillow in mere seconds, then I held him in my hands, staring. Hades was big. Not something that was surprising. He was gorgeous. His dark hair was groomed, which had been a welcome surprise. When I cupped his perfect balls, he let out a groan of pleasure.

My heart thundered at the power I had over this man. This dangerous man.

I just looked at him for a moment, holding him in my hands. His abs were tight, taut, his entire body like stone.

He raked a hand through my hair, running it softly through the strands then holding on tighter.

I took one more look at this magnificent man with a magnificent cock, then I took him in my mouth. Though I was on my knees, doing things to him, I’d never felt more powerful in my life. After a few minutes, he bent me over and fucked me harder than I’d ever been fucked.

And I loved it. All of it.

TWO WEEKS LATER

“Club party tonight, babe,” Hades informed me, watching as I cleaned the last of our bowls.

Not that there was a ton to watch. Even before we’d become what we were, Hades was remarkably tidy. Disturbingly so. Before we started sleeping in the same bed, I’d barely known he’d been in my house. Not a single dish, a rogue coffee cup, nothing. No signs of a man being in the house. Not that I’d ever lived with a man, but I’d heard plenty of women complain about their boyfriends and husbands leaving the seat up, hair in the sink and dirty underwear all over the floor.

Now that we were sleeping in the same bed, using the same bathroom, I’d expected to find some of those things to complain about. But with Hades, there was nothing to complain about. In the bedroom. The bathroom. The kitchen counter. The kitchen floor. The dining room table. You get the picture.

“I can’t,” I told him, wiping my hands, not looking at him.

“Can’t?” he repeated.

“It’s my first shift back tonight, I told you that,” I lied. I knew very well I hadn’t told him that. I’d been a total coward about it. Not because I was ashamed. Because I was scared. This ... relationship had been perfect these past weeks, one that felt like it had lasted for a year and a moment at the same time. I was aware of how insane that sounded. I was a stripper dating an outlaw with an ex-boyfriend after me. On the surface, it seemed like there was nary a place for perfection. Especially with someone like Hades who was technically pure male perfection yet was simultaneously the embodiment of chaos and trouble.

I’d never felt like this. So thoroughly protected. So thoroughly understood. Even though he didn’t know about the darkest parts of me, it was like he sensed them.

Then there was the sex. The fucking sex.

I had discovered the reason why he was referred to as an outlaw: because sex like that was definitely criminal.

Our relationship had existed in somewhat of a vacuum since my bruises had begun healing. I’d been unable to work or film, and my routine had become all jacked up. It was like my house had become our little private island, with us occasionally venturing out to club parties and things like that. Of course, Hades slunk off at varying times for ‘club business’, which I sometimes wondered about. I didn’t wonder long, though, because whenever he came back, he was on me. His hands. His mouth. Then he was inside me.
