"Sorry. You're just so hot. I can't help myself," I reply, mentally fanning myself. "I love you," I blurt out. He strides toward me.
"I love you too," he says, like we’ve said it a thousand times, like it’s not the biggest thing in the world. He leans down and kisses me as a bright white light begins to radiate from my belly. Then I feel it. Deep down in my belly. Warm and radiating. A girl’s voice fills my head and heart.
"Me," she says in a sweet, giggling voice.
Our future daughter is making her presence known.
"Daughter? We’re going to have a daughter? How could we possibly know so quickly?” He places one of his big hands gently on my belly. I put my much smaller hand on top of his.
"Magic."
“Speaking of… how the hell do we get back to Boston?”
“I can help you with that,” Sorena says, popping back into the woods.
This has been the best day of my life and it’s just getting started.
