Pushing those thoughts out of his mind, he focused on his woman, on bringing her pleasure, on licking and sucking her pussy. Taking her over the edge, into bliss, and then he didn’t stop. He couldn’t. He needed to know she was slick and soaking wet, making it easier to penetrate.
Mason brought her to a second orgasm, and then he moved his way up the bed, settling between her thighs. Staring into her blue eyes, he knew in that instant there was no one else he wanted to be with. No other eyes he wanted to look into. Tamsin belonged to him and only him.
And the moment they did this, she was going to be his for the rest of their lives. There was no backing out. No other chances. Tamsin would be his. And he wasn’t afraid of that. He relished it.
Chapter Nine
Tamsin woke up and turned toward her husband. The previous night’s events came rushing back to her, and she couldn’t help but smile.
“How long have you been watching me sleep?” she asked.
“A couple of hours.”
She reached up and pressed her palm against his cheek. “Did you get any sleep last night?”
“Some. I don’t need a lot.”
Tamsin sighed and pushed some hair out of her face.
“How are you feeling? Are you sore?”
Mason had been amazing last night. Their first time it had hurt, and Mason hadn’t been able to complete. He’d lost his erection at the sight of her pain. She refused to let him leave, though. She held him deep inside her, and they had talked, and the pain had ebbed away. Then he’d been able to make love to her, and it was beautiful.
Afterward, like in the books she read, Mason hadn’t left her alone, and they enjoyed a nice, long bath. Once they were finished, he carried her through to the bedroom, and that was when they had seen the evidence on the sheets—some smears of blood. The sheets were going to be destroyed as they had bundled them up into the corner. They made the bed together, and then Mason had made love to her a second time before falling asleep.
Now, they were both awake.
“I’ve just woken up and all I feel is … happy.”
“Happy?”
“Yeah, I feel happy. Is that strange?”
“I don’t know. Perhaps it’s a good thing to be feeling anything when it comes to your husband making love to you,” he said, pulling her in close and pressing his lips against her neck.
She let out a sigh. “That feels good.”
“Good.” But he pulled away from her and she couldn’t help but pout.
“What is it? What’s the matter?”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“Mason, stop it. You’re not going to hurt me.”
“I hurt you last night.”
She couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “That was inevitable and had absolutely nothing to do with you.” She touched his arm.
“Nothing to do with me? Tamsin, if I’d not done anything, then you wouldn’t be in pain.”
She sighed. “Stop, okay, just stop. I don’t know why you’re freaking out on me, but I am fine. I feel fine.”
And then to prove it, she pushed him back down on the bed and moved to straddle his waist. She did feel a little nervous about being on full display, but she pushed those feelings to the back of her mind and looked down at him. He made no move to push her off but his hands landed on her thighs.
Every time he touched her, it felt so good. She found herself pausing for just a second to enjoy the feel of him once again.
“Now, do I have your attention?” she asked.
“You always have my attention, baby, and that is not going to change.” He ran his hands up and down her thighs, which she found distracting. “Do I have your attention?”
She glared at him because he certainly knew the truth. She couldn’t even think what her name was in that second. Nothing made any sense to her.
Tamsin pressed her hand to his chest. “Now, I want to be clear … last night was the best night of my life.” She had gotten his attention. “I don’t know what this means, and I don’t know how you feel. You’ve been with other women—”
“Stop it. None of them mattered. I didn’t care about them at all.”
She smiled because that was exactly what she wanted to hear. “Good, because I don’t want you to pull away from me. I know we haven’t had the best beginning, but don’t you want to see how this goes?”
“You don’t hate me?” he asked.
“I may hate you just a little bit.” She couldn’t help but smile and then she screamed as he captured her, rolling her onto her back so he was the one over her.
“And what about now?”
She held her fingers close together.
He reached between them and her gasp turned into a moan as he stroked his fingers across her clit, using a couple of fingers either side. Tamsin closed her eyes as the pleasure took her by surprise and was so instant. Sinking her teeth into her bottom lip, she whimpered.
