Griffin’s hands slide around my waist and in a swift motion that makes me gasp he picks me up off the floor. Feeling his smile at my lips, I wrap my legs around his hips and get comfortable in his embrace. Griffin holds me close against him, and I love the sexy groan he makes before he kisses me again.

It's a relief to be in a house away from everyone's prying eyes. I hesitate for a second, because I'm not used to that—the only times we've touched or kissed have been at the bar, where someone could've tried to walk in or looked through the window. Now I'm sure there's nobody watching. It’s freeing in so many ways.

I spear my fingers into his hair and Griffin tips his face up toward mine. He never stops kissing me as he braces my back against the foyer wall.

“Your house is nice,” I tell him in between kisses as the butterflies in my stomach move lower and lower. “Want to show me the rest of it?”

Griffin laughs. “How ‘bout I show you my bedroom?”

He carries me through the first room and I don’t notice a damn thing other than how the cords in his arms make them feel even more muscular. And how broad his shoulders are as my fingers slip down them, and I kiss down his neck.

“Living room,” he says, nodding his head toward one doorway. “Kitchen's back there. I have a gym down in the basement, but we don't have to look at that right now.” He carries me up a flight of stairs. “Bathroom,” he says, nodding his head again. “And here's the best part.”

He carries me through another doorway to his bedroom, which is larger than I thought it would be. Griffin gives me a minute to look around and I try to catch my breath. He keeps it neat, same as the bar. There's a chair with one of his sweatshirts thrown over it and a decent-sized closet. I tip my face down and kiss him again, content on looking around another time. Right now I just want him.

Griffin kisses me back, slower this time but just as deep. He doesn't seem to have any trouble balancing me and he lowers me carefully to the bed.

“I want to take my time with you, my little tease,” he murmurs against my chest as his mouth moves lower, his hands at the waistband of my leggings. “Can I?” Goosebumps spread along my skin and my gaze follows down my body, watching his eyes roam my curves and then lower.

“All the time you want,” I say. Lust fills my head at the feeling of him tugging my pants over my hips. All I can hear is our heavy breathing. His finger tips are slow and deliberate and send shivers of want down my body. Griffin undresses me slowly and carefully, tossing my clothes over to the chair with his sweatshirt.

My heart races and heat flows through my body as he caresses between my legs. His deft fingers massage over my clit and my head falls back against the pillows, the heels of my feet digging into the bed as the warmth and pleasure force small moans from me.

A deep groan of pleasure comes from his chest, which brings my gaze to his, and I nearly come undone at the sight of him, toying with me before he lowers his lips to my clit and sucks.

“Griffin,” I moan his name and my blunt nails dig into his sheets as I chase the high of release and find it crashing around me all at once.

As I fall back from my release, he leans over me on the bed, staring at me with his lips slightly parted and his eyes dark. He hasn't turned on any of the lights in his bedroom; there's only the moonlight slipping through the windows. It’s plenty enough to see him.

Our eyes meet. My hands move from his shoulders to his hair. I can’t stop touching him. I need him. I need Griffin more than I need air to breathe right now.

“I need you,” I murmur and the man smirks down at me. “I know you do,” he says and the blush I’m so damn used to with him floods into my cheeks.

He stays leaning over me while he strips off his shirt and undershirt and then pushes down his boxers. When he crawls onto the bed with me, sliding us both up toward the pillows, he's finally naked.

“You're so hot,” I breathe and for a split moment, with the chill of the air against my heated face, I remember we’re on a date.

A pretend date.

Griffin's body against mine is anything but pretend. He lowers his head to my collarbone and kisses me there, one of his hands running up and down my side.
