Taylor took a long breath—not an easy thing to do in a corset—and tried not to think about the man who stood behind her. Yeah, that was going to be impossible because his body brushed against hers and his hand had settled on her hip as they stood watching that god of a chef start to make a meal of his wife.

Sean had worked his wife over with a flogger, her hands over her head attached to a hook that came down from the ceiling. Grace had started out in the lovely corset she’d been wearing, but it hadn’t taken her husband long to get her naked, putting her body on display.

Dom. Not husband. They were a Dom and a submissive in this place, not husband and wife. They weren’t Sean and Grace Taggart. They were Master Sean and his sub, Grace.

Except she was pretty sure they would argue against that. She rather thought they would tell her they were always husband and wife.

Which was fine for them. That was the whole point of this lifestyle—finding something that worked for a person and their partner so they could enjoy their sexual sides.

The only way she could enjoy Drake was if she wasn’t enjoying Drake. She could enjoy the Master without ever trusting the man he was underneath.

At least that was what she told herself.

They’d watched three scenes so far and had little talk in between. She felt awkward as fuck, and she was pretty sure that was all about her.

She needed to get close to him, needed for him to trust her enough that she could find the information she needed.

Yep, she was still telling herself that lie.

“Hey, let’s hit the bar and talk for a while,” he whispered in her ear.

They weren’t even close to a scene. He wasn’t any more comfortable with her than she was with him.

So different from the first time. The first time had been the easiest thing in the world. It had been like sinking into a soft bed and relaxing.

She turned, well aware they were surrounded by other members. The dungeon was small, and she suspected there were at least twenty other couples hanging around. And a surprising number of multiples. The threesome energy was strong out here in the West.

“Why don’t we go to a privacy room instead?”

He frowned, looking down at her. “You want to go to a privacy room with me?”

She gave him what she hoped was a saucy smile. “I thought that’s what we were here to do.”

She took his hand and started walking toward the aftercare rooms.

He stopped, forcing her to do the same.

She turned and he was staring a damn hole through her, his gaze predatory and every line of his body straight and hard.

“So that’s a no?” She hoped he could hear her over the thud of music that filled the room.

He dropped her hand but before she could move away from him, he gripped the nape of her neck and drew her in close. “That’s a who the hell is in charge of this?”

Every submissive bone in her body responded to him. She would have said she didn’t have any of those bones until she’d met him and that part of herself felt like it had fallen into place. “You are, Sir.”

He was stunning in his leathers, every bit the dominant dream man she’d known he could be.

If he was anyone else, she would be a puddle of submissive goo at his feet.

Sure. That’s why you just drop to your knees for every hot Dom you meet. Face it. He’s the only one who has ever made you feel this way.

She ignored her inner voice.

His jaw tightened. “I’ve been playing this wrong. I thought I would give you some time to ease into it, but all time did was let you think. You don’t need to think. You need to feel. What’s your safe word?”

“Red.” It was the easiest thing for her to remember. “Yellow, if I’m getting nervous.”

“And how do you feel about public punishment?”

She nodded. “I’m okay with it, but I would rather any real physical intimacy happens in private. I think I could work up to a more intimate scene, but I’m not there yet. Are you okay with it?”

“I would fuck you in the Oval Office in the middle of a meeting with the president if you let me.”

She should have known the man wouldn’t have a problem putting himself on display. “I need more time to work up to that particular scenario.”

His eyes ate her up. She’d been nervous that she looked so different than the first time around, but he hadn’t seemed to have a problem being attracted to her. She was far more muscular than she’d been before, and she’d dyed and cut her hair. Sometimes she didn’t recognize herself. She’d done a lot to become Constance.
