“I figured it was you guys, but I wasn’t totally sure.”

And yet he took a photo of us anyway?

“Hey, can I get a pic with you both?”

“Sure,” Keegan spit out, and we posed with the guy for a selfie before he headed off.

I was about to say something to Keeg when he blurted out, “I’m just going to go to the bathroom.”

He dashed off.

What a fucking ass I’d made of myself.

Keegan

I hurried into the restroom and splashed water over my face at the sink.

“Did you lose a bet?”

I wished I could disappear from the restroom because Jesus Christ, how was I going to face Owen after that? I couldn’t believe he’d caught me.

I had been so good about hiding my dirty little secret from everyone, but I just sort of got lost in enjoying dancing with him…and feeling how hard he was with my ass against his pelvis like that, I’d totally forgotten about the panties I’d been wearing.

I looked at myself in the mirror. How was I going to go back out there when Owen had to have known by my reaction to his comment that I wasn’t wearing them because of a bet?

A guy stepped out of a nearby stall and headed to the sink beside the one I was at. He must’ve been curious about why I was just standing there, staring at myself, but considering he had hardly noticed me, even as he finished up and headed out of the restroom, I was likely projecting based on how I imagined Owen had felt about catching me in those panties. In fact, I even felt like this guy could somehow see my secret. That he knew what I was wearing under my jeans and was judging me for it, like Owen did.

Would Owen tell Steve and Casey?

Of course not. He wasn’t an asshole.

I thought about the pic that guy had taken of us. I must’ve looked like a deer in headlights.

“Get it together, Keegan,” I muttered.

I had to go out there and face him again at some point, whether I liked it or not.

I turned to march back and confront my fear, when the door flew open, and Owen stepped in, halting just before me.

The door swung back toward him, and he appeared surprised by it, stepping aside as it shut behind him. He looked so intense about something, this disarming expression of determination on his face.

“Seems we have a thing for restrooms,” I joked, trying to make light of the situation.

“Apparently,” he said, his gaze drifting to my crotch, like he was still judging me for my panties.

“We should get back to Casey and Steve.”

I started to step around him, but he moved in front of me, blocking the door. He searched around, like he was trying to ensure we were alone, before turning his attention back to me.

“I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable and say that dumbass thing about a bet,” he whispered.

I could tell he was being sincere, which gave me some relief.

“I was surprised more than anything, and of course the stupidest thing had to come out of my mouth.”

“I guess it’s not every day you see a guy in panties.”

“That’s not what I meant, Keeg. I was surprised at how much it turned me on.”

Just as quickly as he’d made me so uneasy and nervous, his words along with this look of primal hunger in his eyes made me feel so fucking hot.

“You just manage to keep on surprising me,” he whispered as he moved closer, his eyes still on my lips.

In the back of my mind, I kept hearing, No-messing-around rule, no-messing-around rule…while some other part of me was like, Fuck that BS.

Owen lurched forward and cried out, “Fuck!” before knocking me into the wall.

“Oh, holy shit, sorry…”

I recognized the voice right away.

Sawyer headed into the restroom, and apparently the door Owen had been blocking had been what had shoved us against the wall, with Owen’s body pressed against me for a moment—too brief a moment—before he recovered.

“You guys okay?” Sawyer asked.

“Yeah, we just…”

“It’s probably not the safest place to have a conversation,” Sawyer said with a smile on his face as he glanced between us.

“Yeah, of course.”

As Sawyer headed to the urinal, I glanced around the restroom, unsure what the hell to do.

That was supposed to be a fucking kiss. The kiss I had been missing—the sexy one that had nearly made me pass out when he kissed me in that bar in Parlaisa.

Goddammit, if Sawyer wasn’t such a cool guy, I would have fucking hated him right then for being a cockblocker.

Owen took my hand and guided me out of the restroom.

“You have no idea where you’re going,” I said with a snicker, and I glanced around before taking the lead, guiding him through the back hall to a nearby maintenance closet. During my coming out party, I’d learned from the owner the lock had busted and he needed to get a locksmith out there.
