“I typically take it without, but if I’m with you, I don’t mind a little cream.”

“I figured that might be your answer.”

“And what’s the next question?”

“I’m curious if you’re ticklish or not.”

“Very,” I admitted, “but you’ll have to find out where.”

His smile broadened, his brows popping up with excitement.

There was something predatory in his expression as he pulled his hand from my shaft and slid his fingers along my abs, tickling ever so gently, quickly discovering where I wasn’t affected by the movement. He navigated his hand up my torso, then under my arm, before I felt that gentle, playful sensation. I twitched about on his lap before kicking my legs out.

“Oh, fuck,” I called out as he held me close with his free arm while continuing his assault.

“There it is. That’s really good,” he said, watching me, clearly enjoying the power he had over me as I was out of control of my senses. I laughed until I struggled to breathe, when he granted me a moment.

Tears rushed down my face from all the excitement.

I lay back against the sofa cushion, my ass still resting in his lap, and he shifted so he could lean down and lick my lips.

I felt him inhaling deeply before he snarled, “Now it’s time to see if the other arm’s just as ticklish.”

“Oh, fuck!” I called out as he felt his way to the other, and I prepared for the laughing fit I knew I was about to endure.

I woke in my bedroom in the palace, where Owen had led me after we’d played around in his room for a little longer. It wasn’t nearly as grand as Owen’s place but plenty big enough for me.

The eagerness of our playful interactions the night before still lingered within me and had apparently shaped my dreams as I’d imagined that time stretching out with equally fun exchanges with Owen.

I slid out of bed and headed to my luggage, which I dug through until I found a new pair of panties I’d brought with me—sky blue. Despite where I knew I’d be spending breakfast, I wanted to wear them, if only because it would be fun to know that Owen would like them and that I could enjoy walking around, wearing a special secret for him.

Only him.

I showered and changed into my underwear, shorts, a tee, and of course, no outfit would have been complete without my cap. I wasn’t normally one to obsess over how I looked, but between wanting to impress Owen’s family, and really, still wanting to impress him, I wanted to look my best.

I was about to check my phone when there was a knock at the door.

Owen, I assumed, but when I opened it, there stood his driver, Marco.

“Oh, hey, man,” I said.

“Hey…dude,” he said in as much of an attempt to mimic my voice as he could before smiling.

I laughed. “Is that what I sound like?”

“Sometimes, Mr. Kruse,” he said. “Sharon is waiting in the courtyard outside the North Library for their breakfast, if you’re ready. If not, I can wait and return to fetch you.”

“You can just tell me where it is, and I can go there on my own.”

Marco snickered before it turned into a full laugh. “Oh, Mr. Kruse, it’s so lovely that you think you’d be able to find your way around this palace without a map.”

As I reflected on the complicated path that had led us to Owen’s room the night before, I had no doubt Marco was right.

“In that case, let me just grab my phone real quick.” I headed to the nightstand, noticing a text from O: Hope you slept half as well as I did.

The energy that rushed through me reminded me of what it felt like to be cradled in his arms, enjoying his tickles. And even more, when I was lying across the couch with his finger pushing up against my prostate.

I pulled myself from my thoughts and followed Marco through the hallway as he guided me out of the building we were in, into an adjoining one, and through a series of corridors that proved to me just how much Marco wasn’t kidding about my needing an escort.

When we reached the doors with North Library over them, he led me inside the massive construction. Lights pushed in from an atrium overhead, revealing the aisles of books—enough to put the one at the community college to shame. There were several floors with balconies looking down to the main hall, which Marco escorted me through.

“Is it safe to say by your gaping mouth that you’re impressed?” Marco asked.

“Yes, I’d say more than impressed.”

“This particular library was created in honor of Queen Tara. It was where she spent much of her time as a child and well into her early twenties. And once she was crowned, it became where she would come when she could grab a spare moment, but those opportunities were few and far between, which only led to her cherishing her time here that much more.”
