“Not a chance.” He hugged me from behind and stroked my chest. Lucas turned on the rain function on the shower, and I let out a long breath. “We got you, little darlin’.”

I giggled and sniffled at the same time. “Darlin’ is what you call Daddy. And now I’m little darlin’?”

He smiled against my neck. “It fits, doesn’t it? You two are my darlings.”

I nodded and started weeping again. I wanted to be his darling forever, but I’d said I hated him. “I don’t hate you. I love you,” I cried. “I love you both.”

“Oh, heavens.” Lucas kissed me on the forehead.

Colt hugged me harder and kissed my unscathed cheek. “We love you too, Kit.”

“So, so very much,” Lucas murmured. “I think we need to make a Kit sandwich.”

“Yes, please,” I sobbed.

Colt chuckled and moved closer; they both did, until we were a big Kit sandwich with me in the middle. I tilted up my face as the water pelted our bodies, and we came together in a sweet, slow kiss. Until I hiccupped and couldn’t hold back the crying, of course.

I cried because I couldn’t stop crying. “I’m so tired. I’m sorr—”

“Uh-uh.” Colt gave my jaw a little nip. “Don’t apologize. This is the whole point, Kit. Let it all go, and we’ll take over from here. You’re our baby. We’ll take care of you.”

So I cried, and the relief was so immense that I cried because of that too.

I didn’t want to put on my dirty forest clothes after our very long shower, and neither did my Daddies. We wrapped the towels around our hips instead, and Colt grabbed our stuff. I hadn’t landed from my meltdown yet, so I stayed close to Lucas, and he guided me out of the rubber room and down the stairs.

“Can one run out of tears, Daddy?” I croaked.

“I don’t know,” Lucas mused. “We should probably get some water in you, though. We don’t want you to get dehydrated.”

I sniffled. “There’s water in ice cream.”

“But not in sprinkles,” Colt said and walked past us.

I frowned very hard. “That’s not a nice thing to say.”

He sent me a smirk over his shoulder. “A Sadist can’t be too nice, little darlin’.”

I flushed and ducked my head as I grinned. I truly liked my new nickname.

When he opened the patio doors, the noise from the outside made me sneak closer to Lucas and grab his hand. What the outdoors revealed…jeez, pretty much everyone was involved in a pool orgy. A dozen or so sat at the tables, but the rest were either in the big pool or in one of the two Jacuzzis.

“We’ll get you some ice cream with sprinkles.” Lucas squeezed my hand.

I smiled and got teary-eyed, though it seemed I was all cried out for the moment.

There was a card game going on at one of the tables, and I spotted Reese and River there.

Reese saw me, and I waved shyly.

Even though he offered me one of his smirky smirks, there was something soft in his gaze. This was their lifestyle. Our lifestyle, but…their life. They put so much time and effort into these events. As did my Daddies. It was humbling and wonderful to be able to be a part of their community.

We jumped down from the deck, and I held on to my towel and said, “Daddy, I think we should send a thank-you card to Reese and River. Oh! Maybe I can build them a plane? Do you think they would like that?”

Lucas peered down at me with affection written all over him, and he kissed my fingertips. “I think they’d appreciate anything you send them, dear.”

“Great! I know just the way to thank you and Daddy too.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yeah, but it’s a secret,” I giggled.

Daddy laughed softly and hugged me to him. “I love you, Kit. I love it when you’re this carefree and happy.”

“I love you too,” I sang, reaching our cabin. I jumped up on the deck with an, “Oh hey!” and darted after Colt, who entered before me. “Daddy, I have a question.” I tapped on his shoulder, and Colt gave me his attention before he dumped our clothes and shoes into a basket. “Do you think it’s possible that I lost twenty pounds during the game?”

His eyebrows went up. “What do you mean?”

I shrugged and scratched my nose. “I dunno. I feel lighter.”

“Ah.” He grinned faintly. “Imagine how light you’ll feel after I give you a solid pain session tomorrow.”

My eyes widened, and my face fell. “Have I been bad, Daddy?”

“No! Fuck no, baby. Christ.” He drew me to his body and hugged my head to his chest. “I swear those puppy-dog eyes of yours will be the death of me.” He blew out a breath while I giggled in relief. Then he inched away slightly and lifted my chin. “But I’m sorry to say this—and by sorry, I mean thrilled—there’s very much a little masochist in you, and now we’ve seen what pain does to you. It clears your head.” He paused. “That’s the release I was talking about earlier. See it as a mental orgasm. It happens to everyone on some level. We all need physical outlets. Some blow off steam at the gym, some go running in the park.” He poked my nose, to which I grinned goofily. “Masochists like you get the same release from receiving pain. That’s where I come in.”
