As I come down from my orgasm, our kissing slows down and then comes to a stop. When our eyes meet, embarrassment starts to creep up as the reality of what we just did—what I just did—hits.
But just before the feeling can settle in, a small smile spreads across Pierce’s face. “That was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever felt. I can’t wait to make you come over and over again in my bed.” He tightens his hold on my hair, locking eyes with me. “Tell me you felt it, Kels, the way your body responded to mine. It’s like you were made for me.”
“I felt it,” I admit, getting aroused by his dirty talk. “I feel it.”
“Good,” he says, leaning in and kissing me again. “Because you’re mine, sweetheart, and now that I’ve gotten you in my arms, I have no intention of ever letting you go.”
He presses his lips to mine for one more quick kiss before he lifts me in his arms and carries me inside as my head wraps around his declaration.
You’re mine…
I’m his.
And crazily enough, I’m okay with that.
We stop at the bathroom, and he sets me down. When I look at him in confusion, he says, “So you can clean up. As much as I’d love to take you to bed, I don’t want our first time to be with your daughter across the hall.”
“You know parents do have sex with their kids in the house,” I say with a laugh. “That’s how siblings are born.”
“I know.” He smirks. “But when I’m inside you for the first time, I plan to make you scream my name all night long.”
CHAPTER TWELVE
PIERCE
Pierce
Any fun weekend plans?
I’m sitting in my living room, staring at the phone, waiting for Kelsie to text me back. It’s been less than twelve hours since I last saw her—since she kissed me, then straddled me, and came on my lap. Since I declared that she’s mine and she didn’t deny it—and I’m already missing her like crazy.
It’s Saturday and I’m bored. I could probably find something to do, but what I really want is to spend more time with her and Jordan. Get to know them better.
Kelsie
If you include cleaning the house as fun then we’re having a blast.
Pierce
How about you take a break from cleaning and go ice skating with me?
Kelsie
What time are you picking us up?
Yes! Now that’s what I’m talking about.
Pierce
Thirty minutes?
Kelsie
See you soon!
I let Cinder out to do her business, grab my skates since I have my own, and head out to pick up the girls. They’re sitting outside on the front porch when I arrive, Jordan practically bouncing in place.
I help the girls into my truck then we take off to the city. We have an indoor rink in town, but the one I’m taking them to is outdoors. I think the girls will appreciate the vibe. They love all things Christmas, and the rink we’re going to is decked out for the holidays.
It’s about an hour drive, so we stop to grab a couple of coffees and hot chocolate for Jordan. Once we arrive at the rink, I rent them skates and then we head onto the ice.
“Do you need any help?” I ask them, extending my hand like a gentleman. My brothers and I grew up playing hockey, so I’m a damn good skater.
“Nope,” both girls say in unison, gliding onto the ice.
“Mommy used to skate when she was little,” Jordan says, “and me too.”
“You’re still little,” Kelsie says with a laugh.
“I’m five. I’m not little,” Jordan argues.
“Okay,” Kelsie concedes.
Jordan takes off around the rink, and I extend my hand for Kelsie, hoping she’ll take it. She stares at it for several seconds, and I wait patiently for her to decide. Last night, we were caught up in the moment. We kissed at the light ceremony and allowed the sizzling chemistry between us to guide our actions at her place. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried she might be having second thoughts now that she’s come down from her orgasm.
When she threads her fingers through mine, I pull her toward me for a kiss, but she shakes her head. “Jordan might see.”
I nod in understanding. I don’t have a kid, so I don’t know how it works. Though, if I were in her position, I’d want to make sure whatever’s going on between us was serious before I involved my child.
We spend the morning skating then have lunch at a nearby burger place. When we’re walking back to the truck, Jordan spots a park, so we end up spending the afternoon playing on the equipment.
When I drop the girls off and go back to my place, it’s quiet, and I don’t like it. I play fetch with Cinder for a bit, then throw a load of laundry into the washer. I go through each room, picking up even though the place is spotless—because it’s not lived in. The opposite of Kelsie’s place. It might be small, and they may not have any money, but she’s made sure to fill that place with love.
