I pulled my lips tight. “Me, too.” I cleared my throat as it’d gone raspy.

He tapped my shoulder soothingly. “Be right back.” And then he headed off to the bathroom.

He looked a lot like Zane, older, though still youthful, and he had the same icy blue eyes. He was a nice man. A kind man. I liked him a lot.

“Is this right, Tanya, before we tell it go?” Little Ollie called over and I wandered over to where he and Zane were at the tablet, ginormous-looking burgers on the screen.

“Those are kinda huge,” I said.

“Earth men are small,” Ollie mumbled with distaste. “Phallyx men have big appetites.”

“Okay,” I giggled.

Zane had imported recipes I’d found via a connection to our own internet and converted it so they could read it, which still baffled my mind.

“The only thing we don’t have is the bacon,” Zane said. “I can’t figure out what bacon is. It looks like something we have here, but it’s not in my database.”

“You served me bacon for breakfast yesterday,” I told him.

“Oh, breakfast meat?”

“Breakfast meat is bacon.”

“Is it?” he asked.

I nodded. “Yeah. We need it cooked and then put it on the burger after the cheese, or under the cheese, either, it should be crispy but still just a little chewy. I’m pretty sure that’s what you gave me. Yours was thicker and better, but … yeah. Bacon.”

“Phallyx bacon is thicker and better than Earth bacon?” Ollie asked, smirking.

“Yep.”

Ollie, Daylin, and Marko all laughed. Yep. Jokes at the expense of Earth men. Some things were obviously universal.

“Done.” He hit a few things on the screen and put the tablet down. “Three minutes, seven cheeseburgers with breakfast meat and one hundred and seventy onion rings.”

CHAPTER 24

ZANE

Zane decided that cheeseburgers were great. As were onion rings. And milkshakes. This time Zane had a chocolate one and Tanya had skipped the milkshake and opted for water. And she couldn’t eat even half of the cheeseburger and only ate two of the rings and said she was stuffed and that Phallyx burgers were massive, as were their onion rings.

Zane, the grandfathers, and the kids had devoured their meals. Marko then ate the other half of Tanya’s burger while Tanya fed the pink pest who then hopped from person to person, cooing and being a cuddly character and winning them all over. He tried it with Zane, too, rubbing his head on Zane’s jaw while attaching himself to Zane’s shirt.

That was when Zane informed them that the animal would be served by a house robot that night so that he could get a full night’s sleep uninterrupted.

“I’ll feed him,” Tanya tried.

“Your track record says different,” he teased.

She looked like she took it to heart at first but then she cracked a smile.

“I can feed him. He can sleep in my room,” Ollie tried.

“No. He can sleep in the storage zone and a robot can feed him his bottles every two and a half hours throughout the night. He’ll be fine. We’ll see him in the morning.”

Ollie pouted. Tanya pouted. And he almost caved. But he didn’t. Because he wanted his son to sleep straight through the night. And he wanted this because he also wanted Tanya all to himself uninterrupted throughout the night.

She’d been flirting with him all day long and he was planning to give her three or four orgasms later.

She bent over directly in front of his face at the side of the pool earlier. Slowly. Intentionally. She’d stared at his mouth whenever he spoke, frequently licking her lips and blinking the way a little female pollinating coquette bird would flit around the males during mating season.

Zane wasn’t ready to close the deal quite yet, but knew that if this day had been an indication, he wasn’t far off. She was sweet, infinitely patient, and maternal with Ollie. Zane’s father had made it clear he already adored her. She made Zane’s cock rock hard. She made Zane smile. And she had an enthusiasm for everything around her that he found endearing.

“How old do I need to be to get on the waiting list for a female, grandfather?” Marko asked Zorald. Marko’s eyes were again on Tanya’s chest.

“Twenty-one years.”

“Fuck,” Marko said, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms across his chest.

“Language,” Tanya hissed at him.

He didn’t understand her, so he tilted his head.

“Don’t swear in front of the little kids, please. That’s not nice.”

Zane wanted to kiss her breathless.

Ollie translated and Marko looked confused.

“Earth customs. Certain language around children is frowned upon,” Zane explained.

“You guys swear around kids here?” Tanya asked Zane.

Zane shrugged, knowing he was about to get a lecture as he’d gotten the same one from Elaina. “We’re cautious about the content of conversations around children as not everything is appropriate to discuss but there aren’t any words that are off limits, no.”
