He’d never been special to any of his lovers. Just another hot fuck, or a means to an end.

To Miguel, he was something beyond that, and knowing it made Nero long to have that hard dick shove into him again, no matter how sore his ass felt. This time, he’d want to see Miguel’s face as he came inside him, filling him with all the cum he’d been saving.

“Did you like my tight hole? I think it has thoroughly milked you,” Nero whispered, already feeling the effects of the booze. The stuff was deceptively strong.

The flush on Miguel’s face deepened, though it was impossible to say whether because of the booze or Nero’s words.

“Seriously? I saved your life today, and that’s your question?”

Nero placed his hand on Miguel’s hip and pressed their chests close, already breathless. “That’s why you saved me, isn’t it?”

Miguel zeroed in on him despite his eyelids drooping a little. “What? You think I saved you so I could fuck you? What is wrong with you?” He pressed on Nero’s shoulder to push him away, as if he were dealing with an unruly toddler.

“Then why did you?” As the liquor blurred Nero’s brain, he let out a chuckle. “You in love with me, or something?”

A dark shadow crept into Miguel’s eyes. “Hardly,” he said in a voice made of ice. “You’re the one who’s been cockteasing me for months. You got what you wanted, so let’s leave it at that.”

Cold sank into Nero’s bones and set his jaw.

What was Miguel saying? That he’d been a disappointing lay?

“So did you. You’ve wanted your dick balls-deep up my ass since you’ve laid eyes on me, and don’t you think I don’t know,” Nero said, placing the glass on the cupboard when he missed his mark and poked Miguel in the stomach instead of the chest. He didn’t need to be any more drunk. Since when was speaking clearly so difficult? “So don’t you fucking shove me or you won’t get any more of that,” he growled and spun around. Momentum made him lose balance and end up bent over the bed, but in his dizzy state, that might be to his advantage.

Nero shoved down his pants and underwear before grabbing one buttock and pulling it aside to show Miguel what he might end up missing. “There it is, nice and ripe from the last time you’ve plowed it,” Nero slurred, stalling when the world around him came to an unnatural halt, like a paused video, even though he could feel himself swaying.

“You don’t know what I want!” Miguel raised his voice and threw his glass to the floor where it shattered into bits.

A dull thud followed, but when Nero looked over his shoulder, he caught the sight of Miguel on his knees, then tipping to the side.

He froze, but his own muscles were turning to goo, and he found himself outweighed by his hips, eventually sliding to the floor.

Shivering, he attempted to crawl, or grab his gun, but he was too weak to even twitch his little finger, and sank deeper into nothingness, as if he’d liquefied and was slowly disappearing down a drain.

The creak of footsteps was the last thing he’d heard before losing consciousness.

Fuck.

Chapter 20

Miguel

Miguel’s head lolled from side to side as if he were on a ship. It took him many pain-filled minutes to open his eyes and realize it was his dizzy head, not the floor, that was moving. Everything was a bit of a blur, but when his gaze focused on the hairs dusting his knees, heat flashed him from top to bottom.

Why the fuck was he naked?

He sat in the shadow of a tall table, but his gaze was drawn to the small lamp hanging to his side, up above. Its yellow glow illuminated tattooed leather displayed in large frames hung on the wall. There were also bones, a bloodstained T-shirt showcased between two sheets of glass, and—

He gasped at the sight of a skull resting on a shelf so close to the lamp, shadows initially fooled Miguel into thinking it belonged to an animal. But it was human.

“Miguel?”

He flinched at the familiar voice, but as he tried to rise, metal dug into his neck and pulled him right back to the wall. Panic shot through his body, but when he attempted to grab the… collar holding him in place, he found that his wrists were tied together with handcuffs. Like an animal that suddenly realized it was in mortal danger, he slammed his arms down hard in an attempt to loosen the shackles, but the metal held, and he ended up biting the inside of his cheek to keep from crying out in pain.

“What the fuck? Nero?” He looked around the small room with no windows. Going by the wooden stairs leading up to a hatch in the ceiling, he was starting to think they were in a basement.
